Probably a rotation thing, although unholy dps rotation is really too simple to mess up. I started building a dps set on my dk, and its pretty crappy (I have better trinkets/weapon/sigil - but every other slot is even or worse) and i get around 3.2k dps so i'm not sure whats wrong.
Are you in blood presence? its better than unholy. Get a 3rd major glyph also; the one that buffs DC is good. Change the sigil to one that buffs SS.
