No.
The shockadin is like a mage who wears plate, has only two offensive spells, one of which was meant to scale with AP, both of which are on CD's.
No.

They have a lot more than two offensive abilities, but holy shock is the only one that scales in any decent capacity with Spell Power.
The only uses shockadins had originally was surprise and burst. Their burst is nil compared to average health pools now. We also no longer have Sanctity Aura, which was a big part of the spec (+10% holy damage).
Now if you want burst, you can actually get more by just being Ret or Prot. Frankly, if you want to be the modern day Shockadin, look at the Protribution threads. It's kind of a similar concept.

Can we just sticky an empty thread with 'do not make Shockadin threads, the play style has been dead for a long time' as the subject and then lock it?
For the community in general:
First of all, from the Shockadin thread linked above:
However, if you are already level 80 and fancy using a Shockadin build in PvP, I should warn you that Shockadins are no longer viable in this aspect of the game.
At all.
Perhaps in 3.2, what with the return of Exorcism, but for the meanwhile, bare in mind that speccing this way is merely for fun and experimentation, and not for arena. ;)
(The italics are mine there.)
Secondly, your build is not unique or helpful. Moving two useful talent points into two absolutely useless talents does not mean you have uncovered some hidden potention that no one anywhere ever has ever noticed and that you've suddenly made Shockadins viable again. It does not make you a visionary. It does not mean the Blizzard design team will see your build and think to themselves 'Wow, this could work in all aspects of the game. We'll have to make a new set of arena gear and tier gear immediately.' It means you've made an already dead spec even worse.
/rant
DarkTiger, this is not a giant tirade at you specifically. You're actually far less annoying than most people who create this thread. But the FAQ thread (which can be found in the list on the stickied thread with 'Read before posting!' in its name), was made in the hopes that every time someone heard about this admittedly awesome but very extinct play style they would not have to make a new thread where it needed to be explained that it could not happen at all nowadays, and it has clearly failed. I'm hoping another rant will help solve this problem.

Proof positive that even with an awful spec you can still, in fact, kill someone in a 10v10 environment before you die.
