scourge invasion 2.0 1.0 was not as awesome. aq gates were decent for the opening but sucked for the major lag and @#$%. other then that it was fun when kazzak visited our cities raping our faces during the bc launch madness :P

Scourge invasion before WOTLK. Soo much fun kiting the ghouls around Crossroads on my hunter. But then it got annoying when I kept running into zombies everywhere and dying.
But bring on the next world event!

Scourge invasion indeed. It was truly one of the best things I've ever seen.

Scourge invasion was fun. Grouped up with a bunch of Alliance (I'm Horde) and ransacked Goldshire. Man, lemme tell you, that walk was FUN. Can't tell you how many low levels we came across and tore apart :P
Then some 70 Alliance Pally in Goldshire started picking us off =/
(Gotta love party poopers)

Definitely the scourge invasion! Best time in WoW I ever had.
I grouped up with a load of RP people for the first time, and we trekked through the whole of Azeroth as a zombie raid, hitting all the major cities and some small towns. At some places along the way, battles were staged against a large Alliance army. Everybody stayed in character. When I died, I sometimes switched to the Alliance forces, only to be turned in a zombie once again and then trying to kill my former allies. We ended the day by storming out of the mage tower in Stormwind, where the Alliance forces waited for us once again. This time they won, but not before we had littered the entire city with corpses.
It was GREAT.

The WotLK Scourge invasion was very fun. :)
I hope that when Icecrown is unlocked it is like the opening of AQ was, plain awesome from what I have heard because I hadn't started playing at the time.

I'm going to jump on the Scourge Invasion bandwagon. It's too bad it ended on such an anticlimactic note. I am convinced Blizzard intended to play the zombie invasion longer than it did, but cut it short thanks to all the screaming. I played both the zombie and party pooper roles to the hilt. As a protection paladin, the zombies were very easy targets, but whenever they did manage to zombify me, I did as much damage as I could.
I also liked the original Brewfest. Not last year's, though. My unsuccessful grind for a kodo killed all the fun.

Gates of AQ opening and the part of the chain where you fight Eranikus in Moonglade...that was awesome. I hope Blizz adds in another world-event that is as epic as the AQ events.
The Scourge Invasion was also pretty awesome.

Party poopers?
Part of a zombie apocalypse is trying to defend yourself.
Why defend yourself when you maintain your consciousness as a zombie?
I loved the Scourge Invasion 2 event. It's a shame that Blizzard listened to the horrid little crybabies. It's becoming a pattern with them, unfortunately.

Without a doubt the scourge invasion, it really felt like a zombie apocalypse where you had to move through towns carefully with friends to avoid/survive the zombies and scavenge for supplies. If there were two things I would change about it if they did it again this halloween it would be no quest NPCs turned and make everyone 80 when they change. That seemed like the two biggest complaints.
