Any rich JC/Ench'ers? (esp tanks)

Just looking for any and all input from any JC/Enchanters, and hopefully a few tanks.
I'm currently 450mine 450JC DK tank. Guild needs an enchanter, and I miss that prof from my old warlock main and wouldn't mind dropping mining and powerleveling it. I have all the mats I need to powerlevel Ench to 450 for free, minus a few nightmare vines (been using my old main to DE BoE's for the past few months).
I have several concerns though:
1. Most end-game tanks are expected to be 450 BS, 450 JC. Any tanks run into any problems with this? I won't be applying to any pro, Ensidia-like guilds, just don't want to get locked out of competent ones for profession choice.
2. Mining is basically free gold, except for the time it takes to farm. Can you make more gold/hour playing the AH as JC/Ench and running instances and DE'ing drops, than by flying around mining? What are some of the strats you use? Know this is server-dependent, just wondering if JC/Ench is generally a no-brainer, or is JC/Mining competitive or better in gold/hour.
3. Mining's +50 stam is slighly better than the 24x2 stam from the Ench ring enchants (both getting buffed in 3.2 to keep up with BS, but mine will probably still have slightly more stamina than Ench).

1) I can't imagine anyone locking you out for that. If they did, is that a guild you really want to be in?
2) Mining will always be better gold than Enchanting, but at least the money you do make is quick and AH based instead of running around just flying and doing nothing.

That's the new enchant ring stamina. Comes to a total of +60 stamina, which is the same level as the
new toughness
so don't worry about that aspect.

Cool, thanks. Looks like
the 3.2 epic stam gems are going to be 30 stam
too, so Mining, Ench, and BS will all have an equal ability to add 60 stam. That's nice, no more reason for BS to be a required min/max tanking profession over the other two.
1. If your guild needs an enchanter, why would they then lock you out for not being BS? lol?
Not my current guild, just any future guild I might apply to that doesn't need an Enchanter.
2. Time requirements = not free. Personally, I would fall asleep flying around for nodes, so quick trips to the AH to search for cheap greens for DE is much better. Ench/JC allows you to make gold without ever "farming". (Unless you consider playing the AH as farming, buy ore to prospect, greens to DE).
/agree. Getting sick of doing dailies and farming ore, would much rather work the AH. Saronite Ore has collapsed in value down to consistently 14g/stack, and it looks like I can make Dream Shards from green gems (and Eternal Earth) that sells for about a 30% profit. Think I'll go for it.

My Tankadin is currently Ench/Mining, and I'm thinking about dropping Mining. Farming ore is nice, but with enough cash to start off, rarely does it pay better than my other profs- and I often find the AH flooded with underpriced raw mats, but that isn't nearly as often the case with crafted goods.
I will probably either go with Engineering, for the fun, or go JC to min/max more.

2) Mining will always be better gold than Enchanting,
This is very incorrect. mining is limited by your ability to find the nodes which takes a long time vs. 5-10 min on the ah for enchanting. On a gold/hour or even a gold/day basis you can make way more with enchanting.
I don't bother gathering but at 20gold a stack (saronite) to mine 10 stacks that's about 50-65 nodes (guessing), which I would think takes about an hour or two to pick up for the 200gold profit. d/e and j/c at the ah shouldn't take you longer than 20 min to make 500-1000 gold then you can go do dailies for the 40 min and make another 100-200 gold or farm instances.
With j/c there are several craftables you can make to d/e as well to use up the useless lowbie gems that accumulate in the hundreds from prospecting.
If there are no mats on the ah wait an hour or you can always go solo an instance and d/e the drops. This works really well with twink drop instances for the bonus loot.
OP -
All that said you have j/c which makes a ton of gold. Do you really need/care to go farm gold? a couple weeks and you can make 40-50K which should buy you whatever you could want for a long time freeing up time to PvP or raid for BoP gear.
On point 1 & 3 - if you run into issues with this then the guild probably wipes a lot anyways because they just don't understand how little a difference (if any) this makes. skill is much much much much more important than gear which is much more important that a specific prof bonus. Normally wipes are due to low dps'ers being carried by the group (by dps I mean total damage done not damage per second) and boss enrages, which an extra 500 stamina isn't going to help you.
