Best farmer: Druid or Ret Pally?

I have a 30 pally and a 40 druid, one of which I want to powerlevel to 80 in 3.2 to be a mine/herb farmer for my DK main. Which is the best farmer?
Ret Pallies have
Pursuit of Justice
, which is similar to
On a Pale Horse
on my DK, which makes a significant difference
on my
DK farm/daily/utility spec
. +15% or +20% mount speed makes an impact on the amount of time it takes to fly around farming stuff, and in crowded areas like Sholazaar can mean the difference b/t getting the node, or being 5s too late.
Druids on the other hand seem to have no Flight speed increasing talent, but can insta-cast between Swift Flight Form and humanoid form (even in combat?), letting them jump from nearby nodes much faster. My Tauren Druid also has +15 to Herbalism skill, fwiw.
Any recommendations?
(ps - apologize for the crosspost, want both druid and pally opinions, and figure not a lot of druids and pallies read each others forums)

Druids can't cast flight form in Combat, but you don't get knocked "off" your mount by damage either. You can herb in flight form without shifting, and instantly get back into flight form after mining. You also have travel form and the feral specced cat form which are faster on ground and can both be cast in combat. Plus you have cyclone and nature's grasp and other abilities that can hold mobs off of you long enough to herb or mine, then fly/run away. Plus there's a lot of quests you can do in flight form like the stealing babies quest for the kal'uak rep, looting the baskets, etc. Plus you can stealth past mobs if you need to, solo almost anything in bear form once your gear is good enough, etc. Druids are much better in terms of speed for farming than paladins.

you forget that a alliance druid can cast shadowmeld during combat and thus go into flightform :)

Thx Peach and munix, sounds like they're really roughly equal, but druids sound more fun.

Yeah, I tried to gank one in Sholazar and he did that and escaped. Very cool. But I'm horde, so not an option.

Actually I'd say make your DK the farming char and play Druid as main. DKs are so incredibly boring and there are just so damn many of them that guilds often don't even accept new ones.
20% faster mount speed is awesome. Yes, instant flight is great too but I'd take 20% faster speed over that any day. Especially when the mount cast times get reduced in 3.2.
Druids on the other hand are way more flexible as main char then DKs. You can tank and melee dps just as well and additionally heal or ranged dps if you feel like it ;)
Gogo Druid main and DK farmer.
One more thing: Why farm at all? Daily quests give tons of money and (at least on my server) more for the same time then farming.
