Well if you are resto you can beat a rogue or at least never be killed from one. If you are ele or enh sorry to say but the trinket is very unlikely to turn the tide in your favor. It deff. wont hurt tho.

Actually assuming a 1v1 with all cd's on both up and equal gear I dont have a lot of troubles as a enhancement shaman against rogues aswell :P
Pop trinket on first stun, shamanistic rage on second. Release your wolves after trinket. Earthbind totem and the wolves will stay on him the entire time. Once he is done burning cd's you will be free to help your wolves finish the jobs.

I'm enhancement, I have no trouble with rogues if we both start with full health and all of our cd's.
When I was 59, questing in Hellfire, a 63 rogue ganked a hunter that was right near me, dropped him before I could even blink (the hunter was at half health).
Then he came at me. He was at full health, I was at ~40%. He killed me, I ankhed and ripped his face off. I was so mad, because when I got him to 10%, he turned, popped sprint and ran away like a little b!tch. I was oom, and 59, otherwise I would have frost shocked and/or sent my spirit wolves after him.
Yeah, I need to make a macro "Stop it! That tickles..."

For rogues id do Shamanistic Rage during stun, earthbind and toxins totem then just kite heal then go back in to dps. Maybe hex too.

Elemental needs to kite, otherwise it's easy for the Rogue to do the run-through trick, with plenty of lag hindering your spellcasts (target needs to be in front of you) you will not finish any LB/LvB/CL casts. And even if you do, it can be kicked. Even if kick is on cooldown and you can actually start casting a Fire or Nature spell, he can use Cloak of Shadows, or simply Vanish.
Enhancement relies on getting hits in to proc Maelstrom Weapon. If you don't have 5 stacks of that, it's hard to keep yourself alive even with Wolves and Shamanistic Rage up, assuming you even get to call your Wolves because you are stunned for at least a few seconds into the fight. And if his Evasion wears off, you might get in a few hits. But a smart Rogue will Cloak of Shadows and/or Vanish and engage again when your puppies are on a cooldown.
Resto Shamans, well. They simply can't dish out 20k damage to kill the Rogue. You have no hitrating, your shocks won't land, and your fire totems are likely not buffed by talents and hit for only 400 damage. If you're in range that is. Flame Shock might keep him from stealthing, but it's pretty useless because the spell itself does what.. 2000 damage if you let it run it's course?
If I ever win it's as Elemental.
He attacks: I Thunderstorm while stunned (they don't expect it, hence no Cloak of Shadows.)
I Flame Shock him, he runs into range. Earthbind Totem to root him.
Ghost Wolf out of there to get some distance. Frost Shock whenever you can from here on out.
Grounding Totem to buff yourself with an absorb shield.
Lavaburst. Chain Lightning. Lightning Bolt. Flame Shock/Frost Shock.
By that time you can probably expect to get hit again. Throw some more shocks.

How to win as elemental:
1. use Tstorm.
2. Root them.
3. Use an the 40 yd Flame shock(assuming you have pvp gloves + the right spec)
4. Lava burst him, then proceed to frost shock him, if you're spec'd right, you can get alot of shocks on him before he reaches you.
The same strat is useful against every melee class, DKs are the only ones that you could potentially run into problems with. But since DKs are a primary noob class, they wont know wtf to do once you tstorm after they

My tips with any melee with a stun (paladins, warriors, rogues, or just a cow enhancement) as an elemental is that I generally find that I won't be able to get out of the second stun because something like a stunlock or hammer of justice just kills me in the first stun, so if you TS when you're almost dead they fly away. Then, pop a heal, drop your earthbind, do some shooting, then do some frost shock and fancy footwork to gtfo...
Yea my spec's in my sig but I specced instant GW (it's a PvE spec but I use it for PvP a little) so that helps out a little.
