Nah, im not seeing a major increase in DPS from combat.
Free energy from FoK is meh, just for the fact that you will just spam FoK on trash mobs, and real skills on boss fights and single target pulls. There's no real in between. When are you going to spam FoK, then start spamming SS?

A thought of gear also comes to mind to me.
When I looked through lists of daggers and such, all the best daggers I needed dropped off final bosses in Naxx and Ulduar. This is the case for Combat's gear as well, but one thing I did notice was that there are tons of swords and maces, but then when added up create a huge list of possible MH weapons for Combat. With Mutilate you can't use big daggers or little daggers or daggers with spiked balls on the end. You only use daggers. Period.
I see a future of frustrating raids because I'll lose rolls or the very rare daggers simply won't drop. I don't like this reality. Why should I stick with a similar spec that only uses daggers when combat can use fists, swords, maces, and eventually axes? Everyone told me to spec to whatever gear I had but ultimately when you raid a lot chances are you will have better swords, fists or maces than you will have daggers...
it's true that muti will lack cus they can ONLY need on daggers, But then again as combat u can't go main hand: sword off hand: mace - so u will be needing on 2sword 2mace 2 fist or 1fist 1 dagger and so on. So i can't c the point there. But how i c it, Combat is awsome with the AoE part and muti is awsome on the long fight "boss fights"
Dunno if it will be the same on 3.2 But it my be, cus i can't say i lose to combat rogue on bosses or 1 add, But when there is more then 2 i lose cus he will have more energy to pump out FoK + BF

I don't see the point to a FOK build. You are only allowed 2 specs and I will stay with my mutilate and combat specs so I can change between fights. To make a build just for trash is fail. Especially since there will be no trash in new raids. If you are just running naxx then by all means it makes sense but I am sick of naxx and will only run it to help gear guildies.

there are various fights where AoE damage is needed, such as phase three of Alone in the Darkness for example. Yes rogues were the top AoE damagers there and I'd bet anything that they glyphed and specced precisely for the FoK damage and FoK's interrupt
