Not a bad idea, I'll give you that but it will be pointless in a raid. If your healers are slacking that much that you need to gimp your DPS by bringing in a huge *tanking* pet into a raid, you have bigger problems.

With your pet's talent holy paladins will be able to put 40% more healing into the main tank
(50% if you are BM, but I can't suggest a BM hunter to go to raids with a tenacity pet).
Intervene is just a nice topping for this: as your pet will be healed continously, you can afford stealing some strikes from the main tank.
Actually, as I recall, the Spirit Bond and Blood of the Rhino healing bonuses stack multiplicatively, and therefore grant the pet 54% bonus healing rather than 50.
Also, I personally preferred Tenacity for raiding before the first Roar of Sacrifice nerf...

What about a Worm? if your raid lacks a Major Armor Debuff and you have a lot of physical DPS.
Edit: Just discover it was Exotic, so BM only :(

While all the above opinions are quite valid from a raid standpoint--I think this will make the pairing of a holy pally/BM hunter for things like h-Mgt and other "duoing" of bc-stuff even more fun and effective.
