I have a question for anyone that can help. Just about 2 days ago I was looking for any Heroic to do. So in both LFG and Trade Channel I was stating Rogue LFG 3.5k AP and 2.7k DPS. After about 2 minutes of doing that a got a whisper from a person just ripping into me. He said how in the hell can you have 3.5k AP and 2.7k DPS? Are you terrible with your Rogue? I was quite polite and talked to him but he continued to rip into. Anyway, long story short at 3.5k AP am I suppose to have 3.5k DPS? I don't quite understand. Was the guy just being a #$%^ or am I truly lacking in my DPS? Any positive input would be great. Thank you much.

considering your gear, that sounds alright. You may want to get a faster OH (LPC comes to mind) for combat potency. A fast OH is important for combat builds. The guy was just a jerk.
Are you wearing your PVP set? Or are you using that as your starter PVE set?

Anyone offering their criticisms without you having solicited them either lacks tact or is baiting an argument.
That being said, one of my pet peeves is all the people stating their DPS in trade channel, and even more so, all the idiots who have dps "requirements" in order to join their trade channel PUG raids.
It's.The.Trade.Channel.
This mentality leads to mages with 2k SP and 45 hit rating, and it leads to rogues with 3500AP and 0 expertise.
Your gear, assuming you raid in the stuff you are wearing, could mostly be upgraded into blues that would sacrifice your AP(a stat you get lots of from buffs/flasks) for stats that will hugely increase your real-world DPS.
Coming from a raid leaders perspective, when looking for additional requirements use all the tools neccessary to make sure the person you are getting isn't a scrub. I personally have DPS, HP, and SP requirements for each class and role and use WoWheroes to determine raid achievements for that player.
A well set up raid runs smooth, runs fast, and is successful.
What you are talking about is fail.

This is why I like Mut builds. Alot more of the dps comes from poisons, and being "soft capped", or poison capped, is going to get you really good dps. After poison cap, go for he expertise cap, which I forget what it is atm, as I haven't played in about 4 months.
As already said, getting the fasetst OH you can find, like the Librarian's paper cutter, helps tremendously. You regen energy with your OH attacks, and so the stats and weapon dps isn't the only thing that impacts your over all dps. I am willing to bet there is about 100 dps or more difference in weapons that have a .3 second speed difference.

Yeah I agree, measuring someone's preformance on AP or SP isn't really a good measure. I generally set DPS minimums, and then gear check everyone using wowheroes to make sure their gear meets the requirements for the instance. But if I know that I have 5 or 6 leet dps, or 2 leet healers, I might become more lax on who I pick after that.
As far as tanks go I try tanks that can all MT when needed as the different tanking classes all have their strengths and abilities that make them ideal in different situations. I absolutely love people wanting to come raid Naxx25 with 25k hp and claim they want to OT. lol.
Basically WoW-heroes FTW, and people who are c o c k y, I like them in my raids too.

Go some ways through you rotation, also consider what poisons do you use. Alas I am mutilator, so can't give any suggestions about talents, skills used, but allways search for something more like PvP to change in PvE, most of the builds from forums lack 1-5 talent points in useless talents. Good luck:D

Yeah. I have majority of PvP gear with a few PvE pieces. The gear I have is pretty low level, but it really comes down to a time issue for me. I can usually find a 25/10m VoA with no problem. I am mainly into PvP, but I have kinda just started doing PvE; so my gear isn't the best. I am sure I am geared enough for 10m Naxx at most (if I am lucky 25m Naxx). Anyway, so that guy was just being a $%^& to a point. I appreciate the positive feedback. Any other suggestions to help me get some better PvE gear would be great. Thank you.
