The Battle.net Mobile Authenticator, an optional security tool to help prevent unauthorized Battle.net account access, is now available for a wide range of mobile phones and carriers in the United States and Europe. The Battle.net Mobile Authenticator is a mobile application that generates a one-time password to use in addition to your regular account ID and password when logging in to a Battle.net account or any merged World of Warcraft accounts.
Visit
mobile.blizzard.com
to purchase the application. For more information on the Battle.net Mobile Authenticator, visit

Battle.net Mobile Authenticator FAQ

My cell isn't even listed, much less supported. Good thing I already have the Blizzard Authenticator.
Edit: Figured out why mine's not listed. They don't seem to be supporting Verizon phones yet. Just AT&T, Cellular One, and Sprint.

Heh yeah I already have the Blizz one as well but it would be nice to have it on my phone instead so if I'm traveling I don't get bummed out if I forget to pack the authenticator. I know I won't forget my phone, but I've forgotten the authenticator a couple of times and actually had to go outside instead while I was travelling. *shudder*
Alas, my phone is not listed either. Maybe someday someone will write an app for the Blackberry smartphones.

Is it for the iPhone? =)

It's for the iPhone (also) and it's working the same way as a normal authenticator.
First you have to remove any old authenticator you may have on the account, then add a serial number which is generated by the application on your iPhone and voila! You're mobile.
It's worth mentioning that the application you install is unique and can never be re-created, even if copied from the original file you first downloaded. So if you have any plans for your iPhone such as unlocking or re-installing it I'd advise the mobile authenticator be removed temporarily or you will be locked out by your own authenticator.

Really? I've got an 8330 from Sprint, and it's listed...
Not sure if I'll use it, though for a buck it may be a decent idea for a download...

Come people, bump this thread.
The more see him less accounts will be hacked.
Better if forums admins make a blog about this.

There's been one for the iPhone for a good while now, look in the app store.
