I've never used white wine in my recipe. Most of the dark color comes from the grenadine anyway, since it origionates from pomegranite, but I believe you could substitute a light syrup if you wanted a different color... lime maybe.

I would avoid pure ethanol unless you know what you are doing. It is too hard to ratio the mixture with something that concentrated. You will either end up with sangria that is weak, or sangria that is undrinkably strong.
Don't waste your money.

looking for a White Sangria, realized I didn't specify in the title my mistke thanks for the reply though.... I'm going to try using cheap white wine instead seems like it could work just as well
The few white wine sangria's I've had haven't been as good. The flavor of most white wines don't have the richness that reds lend to the rest of the drink.
But then, I'll take a good red over a good white any day of the week, so that could just be my bias...
