Is it just Horde that that has no backing story?

Flying around Scholozar Basin every day for mining, I get reflective and think to myself, what is the actual backing story behind this place?
It's akin to Stranglethorn Value (mostly) and bits of the crater. Both of those zones back when I was levelling to 60, first or second time around, felt as if the NPCs there could exist. The zones felt vaguely believable.
No either this was because I was levelling on Alliance (I soon learnt the lesson not to level in those zones as Horde), or since Vanilla WoW, the story, quests, NPCs are no longer important. All that matters is getting the badges, gear, achievements and worrying about endgame?
Which one do you think it is?
Disclaimer: I really like Scholozar and all the zones in WOTLK and BC (the artwork). The actual backing narrative though is terrible.

The story has never changed in importance. It's always there if you care to read the quests.
Your poor spelling and grammar made it hard to understand your post.
Actually they didn't. They made it hilarious.
Seriously. Read it out loud and try not to laugh.

the backstory behind it is that it is a experimental place for the titans to experiment with differnet types of life on azeroth.
