I've used
Loot Hog
before, not really looked around for any other ones.

Well, I want to use it on PuG's where the loot is set to Need before Greed ... If this is the case doesn't the "Detailed Loot Information" option in "Interface > Display" already show that info? Or am I missing the point.

I think I get what you mean now, you want something like Loot Hog that will display rolls made through the default loot window and not just when /roll is used?
I seem to remember coming across an addon that hides the roll spam and makes it available when you click it but I can't seem to remember the name of it.
After a little browsing of curse and wowinterface I came across an addon called
RollWatcher
which seems to do what you described.
edit: not sure if it is currently fully functional after reading some of the comments.

No. That's not what he's looking for. That just allows you to control where the static window pops up every time you're asked to roll on an item.

Ok, just had a play around after installing it, there should be a section for it in the interface options "Interface > Addons > RollWatcher" where you can set it up to your preferences (size of the frame, threshold of loot displayed, how long loot is displayed). There should be a button on your screen from fortress which allows you to toggle the actual window that the rolls are stored in.

Thank you. In the end it worked and is exactly what I want.Think I'll actually keep it myself too now that I have found it, seems to be a handy log for who has looted what.
