I think the reward is created the moment you open the container, so my guess would be yes, new items will be available from the old containers.
Either that or they'll introduce new containers with new drop tables.
*But* I haven't heard anything about new rewards or recipes.

Wow is that actually true? Doesn't make a whole lot of sense in my eyes. I would think that the loot in the bag is decided when you complete the quest, not when you actually open the bag. When you run a raid or instance, the loot is decided when you start the run, not when you down each boss.
Blizz made this mistake with Icy Prisms already.
I would have to agree. I remember a while ago a community manager confirmed that mob loot is determined when the mob spawns, not when it is killed.
This is essentially the same thing, just with a container and not a mob.

My sentiment was the same as

. Having loot being determined when you open a bag just doesn't make sense. Then again, Blizz has done some weird things in their days.
