Sejanus,
Your first build is okay. Virulence isn't necessary and Morbidity is just not useful once you know what you are doing as a frost tank. KM is always valuable every time. I am against UBA glyphing because I think glyphing for DnD/FS/Oblit/RS/HB are all better tanking options as they are threat producing and you have enough benefits from various other talents. That glyphing UBA is not useful. Now since this is going to be disagreed with, I am going to explain why UBA glyph is not worth it in it's own forum.
Your second build is not good at all. Your threat generation will be well below par, and you will be missing out on some of the top talents for mitigation. Deep in any one tree is better than hybriding.
Check out the Helpful Threads and read the Stickies on Tanking.

Spec into Acclimation in the frost tree if you are that worried, but whenever tanking stuff that deals magic. Pop AMS and use Mind freeze to cut off the casting. A huge help is having your dps focus on those freaking casters right away. Remember you have 3 casting interrupts death grip them to you to interrupt one. PoP AMS and let them fire away as you blow them up.

Try this spec it's closer to what you are doing. Epidemic is not essential as you are single disease tanking.

- as you can see I took points out of epidemic and put them in acclimation to help with magic damage. Icy reach is not needed it's not a big enough help to be of any use.
Glyphing DnD and FS will actually lower your threat output pick one or the other and glyph Obliterate in the other spot.
As for range issues where mob's join halfway through, the easiest thing to do is position yourself to see them, and then move to where you can taunt them to you with ease or run and HB them. I do that in VoA while tanking the adds.
