I'm trying to figure out which stun would be better to have in PvP on my SV hunter. On one hand, I have a ravager with a 40 sec CD, but he's limitted to melee range. On the other, I have a bat with a 20 yard range, but his cooldown is 50% greater at one minute.
Is it worth it for me to keep the extra range on the bat, or do I want to try and go for the quicker stuns on the ravager?
This post is of course assuming I want a stun. I know I have lots of other options, but I'm just looking at the stuns right now.

Hmm, im in the same boat as you mate, SV and looking for a pvp pet that has a stun, not just a root. I went ravager because of the shorter CD. Range dosent really appel to me because a ranged attack requiers your pet to stop/slow down, while melee stuns are used while your pet is attacking normally. Its great to see a rogue cheap shot me then get stunned by my ravager thus letting me spare my trinket.
*Edit*
Forgot to mention, using wolverine bite and mana regen thing the only ability eating focus is dash, so you can keep bite on for high dps and have ravage wolv bite and mana regen on auto cast also with ravanger.

The pet can use the stun at melee range as well, its up to 20 yards (sort of like scatter shot).

Where do you get that information?
Reading patch notes enlightens and teaches.
■ Hunter
■ All ranks of Sonic Blast now properly have an 80 Focus cost.
Honest, both suck. Take crab. Or serpent for casting time increase.
