*Note* This post could also be used as a tanking weapon enchant list I suppose.
So after running a fairly well Ulduar-25 pug raid earlier tonight (Quite rare), I ended up with Titanguard by default as the only tank who could use it (Yes we got further than Flame Leviathan, through half the keepers in 3 hours). Anyways, Last Laugh got my +26 Agility enchant, but I feel I should go a little farther with a better weapon, and who doesn't love a good glow? But recent searching through forums a-many, have led me to no Idea on what will be good in 3.2. Oh mighty wowhead regulars, bestow upon me your knowledge? I have compiled a list for you to search and compare items and list your imput, because I haven't seen any facts or number crunches for 3.2 yet.
~
Blade Ward - Originally, hearing awful stuff like 4% proc rates or lower, I was quite turned off. But I've been hearing on the PTR of a mysterious buff for it being much higher in rates to be somewhat, useful?
~
Accuracy - I feel the hit would be nice for those who aren't capped yet, and the crit would be an overall TPS increase. Just listing to make a full list I suppose.
~
Potency - An older enchant, yet revered by many. A solid damage / TPS / block increase overall.
~
Blood Draining - I had my hopes up for this one, I really did. But from reading how it would basically suck for paladins pre-3.2. But I think of it like this, Tankadin has 5 stacks, boss somehow eats the "Fireball of death", pretty much kills the tank, but the tank is then ressed to 30%, plus another 5%+ with blood draining, just to make sure he stays a little farther away from death.
~
Titanium Weapon Chain - I've looked at this as the poor mans enchant, hit if you aren't capped, or don't want taunts to miss, and 50% less disarm. Yet most paladins don't care about the disarm part as they have 1 or 2 points into
Pursuit of Justice.
~
Mongoose - This old boy, I'm suprised it's still as popular as it is. Due to the, well, lack of awesomeness that the tank enchants have now, this one is still viable. Or even the best as some call it for now.
~
Exceptional Agility - A great source of constant dodge, and a few other factors.
So, I view it like this, 20 Str and Mongoose are currently great contenders, but with *hopefully* buffs in 3.2, that Blood Draining and Blade Ward will be useful, I feel bad for the people who say they regret buying them. And I'd rather not be one of them.
