You only need 4 points really in Frenzy, but I'd also recommend Focused Fire. The goal of leveling is surviving, yes, but you also want to be able to kill things efficiently. That, along with the increased crit chance of your pet keeps the Frenzy effect up, and its a good idea to macro that in with all your shots. I'd take one point out of Revive Pet (or both, at the point your pet dies you're kinda screwed and should just feign death.)

, you'll put that missing point in Unleashed Fury soon enough, but getting the Frenzy effect on your pet helps them hold aggro. Remember, Bestial Wrath as soon as you hit 40.
Personal tip, I never found Serpent Sting to be useful while leveling unless taking on multiple mobs. The mana cost, combined with the speed that I killed mobs meant I was only getting about half the damage from it. That really leaves you with Steady Shot and Arcane Shot.

I never used Kill Command while leveling, but I wish I did because now I understand more about dealing damage and aggro mechanics.

This isn't any kind of proof or anything, but thinking back I've seen hunters in just about every world first in Ulduar. I just watched the video for the world first Algalon 25 and there were 3 hunters there, 2nd and EDIT:4th place DPS. And this is in one of the world's most elite guilds.
Is your friend doing 6200-6700 DPS?

I actually just did Hunters Mark -> Steady Shot. If the mob had enough health I would put Serpent Sting on. Rarely used Arcane.
Arcane Shot used to be a mana pig, I never used it until the 3.0.8 nerf when they nerfed Steady Shot (to the ground and dug a little) and lowered the mana cost on AS significantly. After that it was a no brainer since it did more damage and you could use while running.
On the multiple mob Q, when I was leveling I was a bit weird cause I tried to (and often did) take on 3-4 mobs with my Devilsaur, it was a lot easier to loot the bodies when they were close. I picked up a Gorilla right after the 3.0.2 change to pet levels but couldn't take any more mobs on since he stayed 3 levels below me while I was leveling good old "ImWithStupid". So I ground multiple mobs, with a single target pet.
And I now grind 11-12 lvl 80 mobs with a bear.

Not the white one, he does a nasty knockback and I think I read he is immune to snares. Taming him is a bit of luck in the RNG.
The other 2 in Un'Goro I think are pretty similar, don't know about any special abilities.

Hmmm alright now this is by no means an attempt at "trolling", I am very serious with this question so I'm turning to some of the more knowledgeable players here at WoWhead. So as I was buying some runs through SM my friend who knows i'm an extreme alt-o-holic whispers me saying "gratz on rerolling a !@#$ class" I'm not sure if that's just him being who he is, an elitist :P but he says that according to world of logs or something like that , that hunters at 80 are *!@# :S?That those logs show them as being second last on dps right after shadowpriests being last? Is he just trying to haze me or is that the truth or is it just bad hunters giving others a bad rep? Thanks in advance.
No, we're not on the bottom, not by a long shot. However, we fight as hard as we want for the top and we get out DPS'd.
The problem with hunters right now is that in BiS gear we are not in the top two or three; Affliction locks, rogues, and even mages destroy us. Hell, even in lower content we get consistently destroyed by rogues who proceed to wave their 5k+ DPS in 10 mans in our faces.
But yeah OP, bears are the best leveling pets atm, although if you do any PvP at all or are on a pvp server a crab will serve you well due to its pin :).
