Im pretty sure the trasp change is just so we can use Black Arrow for the LNL Procs and not be locked out of using a frost trap. Seems mainly a PVP buff.
I also think that the summoning of pets has already come in with the new system, it would be really lame to have hunters not use taming anymore if thats what he meant.
Mana is an issue that just doesnt fit the Hunter. I agree with you they should be using energy.

I think hunters should have energy just more like 250 and restoring like 25 energy every 2.5 sec cause hunters are not mages so should not have mana. End of story

While it makes a lot of sense to have us use something similar to energy or some other physical base, the simple truth is that what we are using right now works. There is more to fix about our class, and if this change is put in place it will break (you know it will) and we will end up getting hosed for a bit while it is sorted. Think, they couldn't even get ammunition right in the last big patch and had months after the announcement to get it, you want them to change the underlying mechanic for how we pay for shots?

You know. They could use a system like our pets have, only slightly different.
Have hunters use Focus. We have 1000 Focus, we regain 100 per second while standing still.
We have to stand still for 1 second before the first tick.
Kind of like how Sniper Training works.

The focus idea that Sardon proposed is interesting but I think it would gimp hunters on mobility fights, like Grobbulus for example. I don't stand very still on that fight, even if I set myself up ahead of Grob so he has to run by me as he chases the tank around the outside of the room. On stand and shoot fights like Patchy we'd do fine with this kind of system, but still. We should be mobile and the mana system doesn't gimp us on that.
True while it would hurt us. But at the same time, it'd make sense. I mean, it's hard to aim and shoot while running. What about half the regen rate while moving?

Mana works fine.
And think, if they gave us a new "energy" what the hell would we do with the intellect on our gear? It would be useless and require every single hunter to regear...

Something like that. Just so Mail gear works for Enh and Hunters both still. Make them tier 1

Instead of mana hunter's could use 'Adrenaline' You have 1000 adrenaline. They say hunter's should feel a penalty for moving, adrenaline is not allowed to recharge while moving. The more intellect you have the faster it can recharge. Every shot use's X adrenaline. The effect of aspect of the viper is changed to 'The hunter take's on the aspect of a viper allowing adrenaline to regenerate while moving but all damage is reduced by 25%'
*EDIT* Aspect of the viper also increases adrenaline regenerated when standing still by 40%.

If you take away the ability to regen while moving, it will really hurt hunters in PvP. Kiting is our main defense against melee - and melee does have a lot of tools against kiting at 80 (it takes a very skilled hunter to stay away from a DK, and even then you're taking a lot of hits). Standing still works in PvE, but in PvP if you stand still for that second it could mean the difference between a win and a loss. Having the regen slower if you're moving is an acceptable penalty, however, if hunters are balanced around it.
Also, if Blizzard does do an energy thing, it WILL be 100 maximum. There's no reason to stretch it up to 250 or 1000, since all you'd do is scale the ability cost and the regen rate (for example, if rogues had 1000 energy, sinister strike would be 450 energy and they'd regen 200/sec, meaning they'd still be the same - just bigger numbers). Blizzard likes using 100 for rage, energy, focus, and runic power - I don't see them changing it for a new static resource.
