I just finished She Is The Darkness. I have to say, I really miss Croaker as a narator.
Also, I'd like to also recommend the Dread Empire series, also by Glen Cook.

The Lost Symbol by Dan Brown
okay I found this book amazing, I love all of Dan Brown's work so far (currently reading Deception Point, haven't quite finished though) but this one is my favorite so far, I couldnt set it down!
Terry Pratchett's Discworld Series
alright, I'm not nearlyyy through all the series! they're what? 50+ but I've read way many of them and love them, so good to sink into them though it took me awhile to understand the whole concept of the books XD
Stardust by Neil Gaiman
I had to put one sappy romantic fantasy novel in here haha but I love Stardust, the movie wasnt that good but the book is amazing, loving the whole victioran era and fantasy mixture.
Artemis Fowl series by Eoin Colfer
Amazing, enough said. Read them all, own them all and will definitely buy the next one if and when it comes out.
Brave New World by Aldour Huxley
we were reading this for my English class and we had to do an essay about it which I didn't mind one bit. This book really makes you think about what true happiness is and if the world would be a better place if people were condtioned to always obey laws, do what they're told and be given drugs constantly to feel happy and content with how their lives are but this all of course strips you from your independence and most free will.
Eragon by Christopher Paolini
As you can see I'm a huge fantasy novel fanatic lmao and so Eragon is no exception. Dragons? come on, of course it's worth reading ;D
Catcher In The Rye by J.D. Salinger
I must have read this book over a dozens times, then again its been a few years since I bought it the first time and I think I've read it at least once a year since then. This book somehow always gets to me and really makes me think a lot after I finish reading over the last page.
Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling
You all know this book..and who hasn't had a moment where they just think "f**k this I'm going to Hogwarts" :P
theres probably more but this is all I can think of right now.
If you know any good Fantasy novels please do let me know, I'm looking for new material to read into!

If you know any good Fantasy novels please do let me know, I'm looking for new material to read into!
Read
The Black Company
series by Glen Cook. Then read
A Song of Fire and Ice
by George R. R. Martin. After that, read the
Mistborn Trilogy
,
Warbreaker
, and
Elantris
; all of them are by Brandon Sanderson. Seriously. You'll thank me later.
Note -
I linked the Wiki articles, but I hope you're smart enough to not read the plot and such and ruin the books for yourself!

Do NOT read a Song of Ice and Fire unless you can live with the fact that it will never end. It is an incomplete series and has been over 4 years since the last book was released. It was 5 years between the last book and the one before it ... with 3 more books planned, if we assume he actually will finish this one soon, and figure 5 years for each of the next 2, we're looking at 2020 before the series is finished. And that is assuming that GRRM doesn't die before then...
Just like Robert Jordan's series was never going to end? He's dead and it's still going to be finished. =)

Fellow Wowheadians, I have made this thread because most of the users here have a strong appreciation for books.
So in this thread, you can rate a book*, discuss a book, and recommend a book to others. Even rate a recommended book!
And of course being the OP I have to add some fuel to the fire.
I recommend the following books Harry Potter series, Mortal Instrument series, the Artemis Fowl series, The Inheritance Cycle , the Septimus Heap books, also the Skulduggery Pleasant series.
*All uses of the word book can also mean series of books.
Harry Potter is well written, but the magic system I dislike. Mortal instruments get a 7/10 for first two, 5/10 for last. Artemis Fowl is amazing, 10/10. Haven't read Inheritence. Septimus Heap was the worst series of fantasy I have ever read. Terribly written, no magic system whatsoever, and characters that are boring beyond belief. Skulduggery Pleasant is 9/10, good magic system, witty, interesting characters, and nice plot.
Edit: For Fantasy lovers, I want to pull out The Abhorsen Trilogy. Amazing magic system, amazing characters, amazing plots, everything is 10/10. I liked it much more than the Keys to the Kingdom series also by Garth Nix.
