Has anyone ever read the Wild Card series? I'm thinking of reading some of them, but I want to know what you guys think. Also, which book should I start with?

I just recently read Strength and Honor: A novel of the Merrimack.
Pretty cool Sci Fi book, it made me laugh and almost cry at times when I thought a character had died.
First book of the series is Wolf Star iirc.

I just read a book called starfish...
Look out for the language in that one, plus its a little racy, but it was a nice dark sci fi, about a group of people who live on the bottom of a large rift in the ocean, where they operate generators for energy.
Its amazing.

Cherub (series) by Rober Muchamore
The Temeraire series is great read as well (although from what i've seen not many people have heard of it)
Day of the Triffids & the crysalids
You have awesome Taste. I haven't read Day of the Triffids, but plan to.
Temeraire FTW.
Ah, yes I've read the Cherubs. Well written series, not overly deep or anything, but it's nice to pick up something you can enjoy and burn through like a wildfire on a paper forest.

The Elemental Masters series by Mercedes Lackey is a good read; combination of magic and altered fairy tales; Fire Rose = Beauty and the Beast, Serpent's Shadow = Snow White and the Seven Dwarves, Gates of Sleep = Sleeping Beauty, Phoenix and Ashes = Cinderella, and Reserved for the Cat = Puss N Boots, with another book called the Wizard of London(still not sure which fairy tale it's suppose to be heh).

What happens in it? Maybe I'll know.

Pair of girls, one a medium, the other a 'Warrior of Light' end up in a conflict with an Air Master who, after making a deal with an Ice Dragon, attempts to corrupt the current Fire Master of the Elemental Circle with the intent on switching bodies with him. Both girls have intelligent birds; the medium a parrot, the Warrior a raven, and Robyn Goodfellow(aka Puck) also has a purpose in the later half of the book.

Reading is bad.. mkay
In the old days, you actually had to read your quest text.
Now you have pretty little pointers on your map in a million places.
i.e., don't make me hurt you.
