Heh, yeah, World War Z is an incredible book......I want the movie to be made but I also don't...../sigh

World War Z is very good, I read it about a month ago (or two). I would, however, recommend the Dresden Files far more than WWZ. The Dresden Files are just so amazing that you can't go wrong with any of them.

Did you see that Ghost Story was pushed back from an April release date to July?

I'm definitely gonna read the Dresden files, but I figure I'll just get the standalone novel out of the way before I get into a whole series. And Funden, you're a Song of Ice and Fire fan...comparatively, a 3 month delay seems like a blessing =P
The HBO series comes out in April!

Ikr? It's been like 4 years and Dance of Dragons still isn't out. I'm currently reading
20,000 Leagues Under the Sea
by Jules Verne. AWESOME book. :D
All of Jules Verne's works are incredibly amazing. After
20,000 Leagues
I recommend you check out
The Mysterious Island
, my personal favorite of Verne's novels.

I just finished reading "At the Mountains of Madness" and "The Statement of Randolph Carter" and about halfway through "The Lurker at the Threshold."
Goodness, but those are creepy.

I figured that this would be a good thread to post this, so here goes:
Could you people here recommend me some good post-apocalyptic books to read? The length doesn't matter, but 300-550 pages would be best, and something that's written post 1990 also would be nice.
P.S. I don't really like manga, so leave those out, OK?

Ah, no I am Legend )=
I'd recommend some WH40K books. Quite a few of them are post apocalyptic in nature.
I'd also recommend the Genesis of Shannara series by Terry Brooks, along with the Word and Void series by him as well.
