ty guys and I didn't mind the spoilers since we're all just kinda hoping / guessing at this point.
My heart was seriously crushed when I got to that part with Jon - he's one of my favorite characters, even before half the others died. And yeah, Dany has been lingering too much in the east, I was getting sick of it too, but the dragons helped make up for it.
Agreed. Jon is my favorite. Hopefully it's ambiguous, or I'll murder Martin myself.

So am I!
I say we team up and lead a commando raid on Martin's house, kidnap him and force him to let Jon survive. All in favor?

I highly, highly doubt that Jon is the blood of the Targaryens. No mention of blonde hair/purple eyes is made (though this is offset by being a bastard, nobody knows the other half of his parentage.
However, from a story standpoint, it would take away from Danaerys and Aegon, who are already poised to either join and form a large military alliance or plunge the land back into civil war.
It would be interesting to get the Free Cities to fight with Westeros, however. While I agree that it got old with Danaerys and Meereen, I do enjoy Arya's plot, so I hope she becomes connected with the other players again.
The point is that if Lyanna's the mother, he could easily look more Stark than Targaryen. I think Arya's plot is just kind of... Weird. Out there. Deserves a different genre. I know the point of Arya's character is that she's many different characters, but how many is too many?

Actually, I'm fairly sure I was wrong about Dany and Jon, but I have a feeling Jon is Targy blood. Honestly, he's more likely dead than not.

DON'T SAY THAT.

Likeability of character scales directly with likelihood of death.
Tyrion is playing a form of Russian Roulette where you put a bullet in every barrel and hope the gun misfires, and he's been doing it every second since the end of Game of Thrones, with a minigun.

Both statements are incredibly true, though Tyrion is playing a different form of Russian Roulette. The version where somebody he doesn't like gets killed by the bullets and never realized that Tyrion moved the gun from his head to point at them. There's a reason why he's considered to be the best schemer of them all.

Not really. I mean, he's quick-witted, and smart too, but his schemes do go bad sometimes, and now he's a wanted man. He hasn't proved much for himself recently. Littlefinger on the other hand... That is one smart dude. By far the most subtle influential character. I mean, he scapegoated Tyrion. Definitely out-schemed him.

Littlefinger I'll grant you. At the same time, though nobody can resist chance. Tyrion just twists it so it works for him 90% of the time. Besides Littlefinger, I'd call him the Xanatos speed chess master.

Well, just ordered all 6 books for the Landover series by Terry Brook; 2 omnibus' that collect the first five, and the paper back version of the 6th book, as well as getting the other Legend of Shanara book, Measure of Magic.....wonder what he's going to do now, with both of those series 'over'? Since Measure is meant to tie in the Word and the Void/Genesis series into the main stream Sword one, and Princess is meant to be the 'last' Landover book.

Greetings!
I'm a writer and I am about to self-publish my first fantasy ebook through amazon.com. It's called Demons, and is the first in a series of books I plan to release. I read a lot of books but Fantasy really is the best genre out there, in my opinion. As a fellow wow player I'd like to invite you all to visit my facebook page where you can read a sample of the book, see the cover and the video trailer etc.
Now for the book blurb:
Corilon of Corsden is a man with a past he works hard to forget. Once a court mage for the Baron of Corsden, contentment came to an abrupt end when he was attributed blame for a series of sacrificial murders in the town he was charged with protecting.
Stripped of his magic by a rival mage, Mecel Corilon was then banished in disgrace, sending him on a journey of madness. Seven years later and he believes he's finally rebuilt some semblance of a life, only his world is about to turn upside down again...
So if fantasy fiction is your thing, search for 'Corilon of Corsden' on facebook and check it out. Feel free to leave any comments, 'like' the page and share with your friends if you enjoy it. You can also find the trailer on YouTube, again just search for Corilon of Corsden.
Thanks! :)

I'll be happy to check your book out, it seems very interesting - and I'm in the process of writing one myself, so it'll be interesting to what fellow "amateur"-writers can create!
As a side-note; you might want to check with the mods before posting something like this, as I believe it's considered advertising given your intent to sell the book.
