Hey guys.
I'm currently leveling a new rogue and I'm still partially confused by the mechanics of the class. I've already read through the stickys here and most of it won't pertain to me as I'm still leveling.
I don't have an armory link as I can't access it at this time, but here is the link to my spec thus far and some of the gear I have. I am a LV 25 N-elf.
Venerable Dal'Rend's Sacred Charge
+ 15 Agility
Balanced Heartseeker
+ 15 Agility
Swift Hand of Justice
Exceptional Stormshroud Shoulders
Seal of Wrynn
The rest are either quest/crafted greens and I have roughly 125/130 agility right now, I don't remember the rest of the stats offhand. I'm also an herbalish/alchemist with both skills at over 150. Never thought I would be so thankful for
Lifeblood
.
Note: I'm aware I could have used Lifestealing enchants on both weapons, but I chose to use the 15 Agility for the lower levels. One shotting mobs with Sinister Strike at LV 1 through 7 is a load of fun.
My current spec
Edit: Updated the spec since I've gained levels.
As you can see I'm currently leveling combat spec. I'm not worried about a good spec right now since I'm not 80, what I am concerned about are good rotations.
1. Currently my rotation consists of moving from behind while in stealth, opening with Garrote and tapping SnD. I follow up with two Sinister Strikes (or one, depending on health of the mob) and then hitting rupture. Eviscerate doesn't seem to do much damage and with this rotation I'm killing mobs before I get enough combo points to make Eviscerate worth using.
2. Something else I do for, say a group of three Orcs in their little camp in Redridge Mts. Sap one, open with Garrote on the second one and Dismantle on the third. Take out the second one (who still has his weapons), then take out the third, restealth and finish the sapped mob with whatever I feel like. I make sure to pickpocket them all first. :-D
3. I also don't know if you can have combo points on more then one mob at a time, it doesn't seem that way to me. Can someone clarify?
I'll level Combat until I hit 80, or maybe LV 60 whereas I can begin leveling as Mutilate. Any tips would be appreciated, thanks guys.

Thanks for the extra info guys.
I guess the rotation works as is for now, until I get more abilities and talents. I'll have Cheap Shot next level. While it's true I should use eviscerate, I don't have it talented yet and
seems to be more of a waste when it misses since it appears that you lose energy when a finishing move misses, but not as much as the total cost; while at the same time Sinister Strike costs no energy when it misses.
This is what it looks like to me, correct me if I'm wrong.
Yup, I pop evasion if I'm dealing with 3 mobs. If I'm fighting four, I end up using Lifeblood, a potion, and Evasion just to stay alive. If I'm down to one mob, I'll try to Gouge and get a half-assed bandage in. I can't wait for Blade Flurry.
This is the first class I've ever played that doesn't have mana as a resource. My mains have been a mage and pally, and play around on a priest/druid a little bit with the latter two below level 10. I like playing with a rogue since it requires more planning and skill, but the mechanics are a whole new world versus caster classes so I asked for some help.
I currently run with Instant Poison on both weapons, should I switch my MH or OH to Crippling Poison? I don't have Shiv or Envenom at this level. (25)
What stats should I stack for Combat leveling? Agility or AP? I've read that for end game raiding, go Agility for the Tier 8 bonuses. Also, does
Frost Oil
stack on your weapon with your poisons? It would be great if it did, though I doubt you can.

Switch to WP. Combat always uses Wp instead of IP.
While leveling obviously both agi and AP are helpful. I liked agility more as i leveled as it imporves more stats that help you survive longer.
Also take the points in imp Evis asap. Your combat and will be using evis over envenom because of poor DP application, especially against mobs who die fast. Get away from rupture also on mobs they die before the rupture tick is complete so its a waste. Also if you do draw more mobs and you have rupture up you can not blind/gouge them

Agreed. I use WP on main hand, and DP on offhand. Also, slow MH weapon (2.6 - 2.8) and fast OH weapon (1.5 - 1.7), but you seem to have that covered with your heirloom weapons.
I'll do that once I hit higher levels, as I'm only 27 at this point and can only use Instant Poison and Crippling Poison. (Was 25 when I wrote the OP)
Eviscerate went up a rank and is much much better to use now, since a two point Eviscerate is the same is a single SS now. Before it was just terrible, but I still miss a lot because of the duel wield penalty.

Good ideas, but I'll probably wait a bit before I get Improved Eviscerate to get Aggression first, but in the end it doesn't matter, just personal preference.
I guess folks forgot to answer this or just skipped over it, but can you use Frost Oil on your weapon and not lose your applied poison? Thanks!
