First of all, why do we have two threads for this? I don't know if mods can merge threads on this forum, but this thread and 'Raiding at 60' are basically the same.
Secondly, I'm sure a couple guilds will form around freezing levels at 60 or 70, or maybe raiding guilds will have a seperate rank for experience frozen alts at these levels. I know it's an immature way of looking at it, but I don't think I could get over the stigma of 'I'm not at max level, therefore this gear is useless' despite the fact that I missed vanilla raiding and miss TBC raiding.

# Players who do not wish to gain experience through PvP can visit Behsten in Stormwind City or Slahtz in Orgrimmar - both located near the Battlemasters in either city - and turn off all experience accumulation for the cost of 10 gold.
# Disabling experience gains will prevent a player from gaining experience through any means available in the game.
this means that it will now be possible to cap our experience at any level, which creates a very interesting idea:
raiding twinks.
or, players who cap their level at either 60 or 70 in order to experience those raids at the correct level.
Who is planning to do this? I, for one, will probably try it, since I never experienced any of the earlier raids, not being around for vanilla and starting near the end of bc.
I don't think it will happen, as it takes exactly 51 points to get the final talent in any spec, which means you can only spend 5 points per tier and still get the final talent, which in most cases is useful.
But those talents didn't exist at level 60, and people still managed to raid.

Blizzard is still waiting for people to stop asking. They repeatedly say this will not happen. Then they say it again. And, just for emphasis, again.
Twink raiding is a fascinating concept that COULD be done well. come 3.2. Set limits on talent choices, gear choices, etc., and you might get close to how it used to be. But the reality is that we will never again experience old world raiding any more than we can now experience what life was like before the printing press.
Oh, and by the way: everyone who was there (I started playing in BC) says that old-world raiding was more hell than heaven. So I seriously wonder why people wouldn't see this as a potential
improvement
on the way things were. Same bosses, same content, but new talents, playstyles, classes, potions...
