Is bear tanking OP?

Blizzard has expressed the feeling that bears are OP for tanking in Ulduar (and that pallies are underpowered, but that's beside the point). Does the rest of the Druid community, think bears are OP? And if so what makes us so imbalanced?
Thanks for the feedback.

no were not op, blizzard should just look at how many people have quit tanking on thier druids and they would realize that the community doesnt think they are op
i dont think we are underpowered either but i do wish they would keep things the way they were and not change them

@Yunaleia:
I'm not sure if you've seen the Ghostcrawler Q&A on Druids, but in it he stated this:
Community Team
: Bear tanks have often felt inferior compared to the other tanks.
How do we feel druid tanks are doing and do we have any immediate changes planned?
Ghostcrawler
: We think bears have felt inferior because for a long time we basically said “You are designed to be inferior.” Sometimes old perceptions die hard. Bears are not inferior tanks in Ulduar and
it’s possible their survivability is too high in 3.2
.
This is the quote that the OP was referring to; while I don't think this changes your stance nor invalidates your opinion, I just figured you'd want to know that Blizzard seems to disagree with you.

nothing more than saying we don't know but we are going to nerf
just like everything else...no thought just someone whined about something and superior bliz int goes duh...nerf
and with the new pally nerfs, especially with mana I would not call them op either.

I don't think your post follows any sort of coherent thought process, but giving you the benefit of the doubt: Who whines about druid survivability? Have you ever heard another tank say "NERF BEAR DURIDS PL0X" -- I haven't... If you have, what exactly were they complaining about?

i certainly dont feel Op i feel im on par with warriors
i mean we dont have much left they can nerf anyways
high armor already gone
high hp already gone
dodge - ~2% for me when patch hits
whats left to nerf yeah savage defence wich isnt to great to begin with anyway helps but not game breaking imo
but BEAR druid 4 life here and kitty on the side if needed ;P

Why do tank classes ask for nerfs to other tank classes? We're meant to be working together -.-

I dont think druids are OP tanks... we can tank all the bosses, we can tank all the hard modes, we can tank all the trash... same as every other tanking class. There is no tanking class that would outright exceed the other tanks in any fight. The current state of things is perfect. You can choose whichever tanking class you want freely, noone is gonna tell you to reroll... and what matters the most is your own skill.
Anyway, druids are awesome generally. In a raid, we are a viable tank class, and we can also combat rez, innervate, CC, interrupt spellcasting... lots of stuff.

LOL I can never tank on my druid. But on my frd's pally I have no issue at all same with my DK.
Besdie I have never seen a bear tank in naxx or uldar at all. That just tells you Bear tanks isn't there. I always seen pally and warrior tanks and Dk tanks is becomming pretty common.
In fact I think blizzard should give more AoE to Drid tanks. Also we don't have block or parry. We only use dodge and have a huge HP pool to soap attack. If they nerf the HP and dodge then what will bear tanks have? Nothing.
Yes, 50k of nothing and 40% of nothing. Anyway reading this kind of posts is a waste of time, stupid people are stupid.

I recently changed guilds on my server, and I only tanked 3 fights the entire week. The rest of the week I was kitty DPS. So yeah, feral dps is more desirable in guilds.
Won't stop me from considering tanking my main spec though ...
O and to reply to this stupid post:

I was declined to a guild on my server because they already have an active feral tank, so they wouldn't have a raid spot for me. Sooooo although they may be a little more uncommon than the rest, bear tanks are still present.
Druids don't need more aoe, swipe is more than enough. They also don't need parry, because bears do way more damage when tanking than the other classes (single target anyways). O and we
do
have block, it's just called Savage Defense...

Ferals are more durable than prot paladins IMO.
I was fine with tanking feral, but our raid dps was poor(went from OT to top dps in our raid, with only 2-3 dps even close to me), so I prefered kitty to boost our raid viability.
Downfall? Replaced my tanking skills with off spec tanks, one of which was a prot paladin, who dies way too fast to steel breaker.
So now, I'm not raiding and working on being a PvP feral god! /rawr

Iv been feral tanking since Wotlk hit. In Heroics and Naxx I certainly feel OP as a druid tank. However in ulduar I feel really weak. I have Full 7.5 with 7.5 level epics filling the other slots, im at 42k buffed with 40% dodge. And it just doesent seem to cut it anymore. theres this gap that requires me to be decked out in ulduar gear before I can effectivly tank it. This wasent the case with Naxxramas and EoE.
People who QQ about druids having no AoE are absolutly elephant-level retarded. Any druid worth his fur can hold aoe well with swipe. The Armor Nerf *!@#ed me off, this dodge nerf will only make things worse for us.
Feral Tier gear is not always itemized for tanking (its just "heavy" rogue gear). With these new dodge nerfs, blizzard is making it worse for druids by reduceing our overall HP( if only our gear had as much stam as other classe's tank gear :D, then armor nerf and dodge nerf would make sense). After this next patch I will have 40k buffed and 40% dodge, because of the stam gems I replaced to maintain my Stamina/Agility equilibrium.
Druid tanks are being put in their place. Hybrid classes are not meant to be better than solo/dual spec classes. Im not upset at this, I knew it when I chose to roll a druid, its the price we pay for being able to raid effectivly in 4 completely different styles.
We need to suck it up and play one of our three other options (2 other will dual spec :P) until the lazer eyes of blizzard are aggro'd by a more OP class (wont be dk's, they are supposed to be OP). Probably will end up being warriors who get passed the ball next. Until then, I will relish 14k starfire crits and 10k shred crits and smugly bash mages, warlocks ,rogues, hunters that cant match my 4.9k dps in scrub gear.
Not trying to change anybodys opinion, just stateing experienced gained facts.

Yeah, agree on the DPS vs. tank point. If your option is to have a raid member do top-3-level DPS or tank when the other tank classes can't come close to that as DPS -- yeah.
