Doesn't the current tooltip say 1-80?

Then again, what's the point of saying 1-100 when the max level is 80 ?
Not hard to fix when the max level will be 85 i suppose.
Hey, there you go, live from BlizzCon :
Will heirlooms scale to 85? Stockton says that guilds will be able to craft guild heirlooms, for the entire guild in any slot. They will scale every level.
Thanks Wow.com :p

i wouldnt exchange my uber chest and shoulder for some blue lvl heirloom for the xtra 20%... i think i can smack mobs down 30% faster with my epics than hierloom equipped :D
You forget that it also effects quest XP, which is where the majority of your leveling XP comes from. You'd have to be faster doing EVERYTHING in order to make up the XP difference.

Its simple, get the quest, go kill some mobs, go back, equip heirloom items and finish the quest.

Exactly my thought Or better yet go do a full quest log of quests put on your gear and turn in

Except, unless you have an exceptional 4pc bonus the stat loss from equipping the two heirloom items will result in less than a second lost on each kill, if that. Keep in mind how much overkill you're getting on your final attack. At the 80+ range this is going to be in the thousands, yet the stat loss from the items (assuming you're not breaking a really good leveling 4pc) will result in a couple hundred damage difference at MOST.
