*cough* End of Issue 22 Spirit of Medvih shows up to order his son to go to Karazhan.

You know well the leaked rumors have been right so far, I don't want to believe the idea that Thrall had to leave the horde to Garrosh to deal with this, with the chance of him dying, and the true horde losing its reason for being what it is.
Thrall is my favourite lore character, but I don't want to see him die in wow when the lore itself is going #$%^-eyed as it is.
However I'm just jumping on something here. There is the same chance like how Malfurion saved Azeroth and still lived through it.
Theres also the chance, that that person in that image could be Med'an, as so much has been building up to him being called the 'savour of azeroth'.
Anyway, whatever happens, DON'T FU*KING KILL THRALL OFF! The horde needs him.

Actually... I see this. What would be a better story arc than the son of Medivh, who betrayed Stormwind and brought the Horde into Azeroth into the first place, essentially being the savior of Azeroth?
It makes perfect sense.

I do think Thrall will play a part in trying to save azeroth with the elements raging across the world, but I more then recon on Med'an being the one to save the world, with him being part shaman and part mage.

Yeah, Med'an will be the Guardian, but Thrall is going to end up being his Shaman teacher, with the spirit of his father teaching him the power of Magic and his Uncle Maarad teaching him the Light. (Yes Med'an can use the Light as well.... to a point anyways.)

This is what I recon. The council of tirisfal are present because Aegwynn saw Med'an's powers of mix decent gave him more control over the elements, and magics, that no one else could ever hope for, and it meant they had to train him in controlling these arts.
Thrall is one of the council members and shaman to teach Med'an the use of his elemental powers, lilely Jaina is there to teach him the use of his arcane magics, and the other council members to teach other control over other powers.

Thrall isnt on the Council...... He Said No to Jaina because there is a war to fight in Northrend right now, so he suggests Earthfury to take his place.

Thrall isnt on the Council..... jesu christ, read the comic. He Said No to Jaina because there is a war to fight in Northrend right now, so he suggests Earthfury to take his place.
Well whats your take on the suggestion of Thrall leaving the horde to deal with something major? With it being said that Thralls name was on the list as a possible council member, the events in the comic is what has taken place months ago, well the events I'm talking about is whats taking place during the cataclysm.

Yeah, again sorry about the temper thing, it's just the wowwiki thing about the new council is making me angry as the person who did it seems to have only chosen certain things instead of what was actaully set up.

Well its true wowwiki has been known to as about as reliable as some of the old lore books you find scattered around azeroth from beta.
My thought on trying to put forward whats happening with Thrall, is based on the fact I've got this terrible feeling something might happen to Thrall should events change.
If Thrall died or was killed, to either be a martyr or killed by the next big evil, then warcraft would just lose all meaning for me. To me, Thrall is the heart and soul of the horde that we all know now, and if that was taken away for good, the horde wouldn't ever recover from it, and it would just lose itself.
At that stage, I would delete all my characters, cancel subscription, and take wow off my pc.
A bit dramatic? I'm held on this game by lore, not by constant pvping or raiding dungeons. The lore has kept me playing this long and if it did something like I said, I just couldn't play anymore.

Probably the first time he knocked back Jaina, if you get my drift. ;)
But Thrall's quest could actually be saving Hyjal from Ragnoras' invasion too.

i dont realy understand why your people so angry about, thrall has one of the most epic lore tails in wow, and now in the new expansion(maybe) a new chapter begins .
i prefer more that we get to sie thrall in again, than that he the rest of his time in wow keeps sitting on his as in orgrimmar

Because if he can't keep Garrosh in check when he is in Orgrimmar, there's no hope for when he is off elsewhere?

This is why I don't want to think Thrall as being the one who saves all of azeroth from the raging elements, at least not at the head of it all like a stand alone hero.
The problem that creates is one of two, either
A: He overcomes the raging forces of the elements deathwing has unleased, saves azeroth from them, and then gets classed as a mary sue for doing it, or..
B: He trys to save the world, is killed by these forces, or by deathwing himself, as a martyr, and his sacrifices somehow saves the world instead.
I hate stories like that, in plots, games, comics and movies, I hate that the heroic hero has to sacrifice himself to save everyone, and yet afterwards all you feel is the lose for that hero, and makes it all worth nothing.

I wonder why they seem to be pushing the whole "Guardian" thing as much as they are. Whether it's Thrall or Med'an or whoever else, it seems odd. I mean, Medivh said at the end of Reign of Chaos that he wanted to teach the world that "it no longer needed Guardians" right? And that the fate of the world was always in mortal hands and all that?

Mainly because it's gone from just fighting demons to fighting Old Gods, Super powerful beings of Undeath, Insane monsterous Dragons of world shattering power and all the rest. Seems to me we need the Guardians still and Medivh made a mistake.
