How will the night elves as a whole accept mages?

As near as I can tell, there are pretty much three different "classes" of folk when it comes to the night elves.
There is the priestly class, under Tyrande Whisperwind, which consists largely if not entirely of female servants who have given themselves to Elune.
Then there are the druids, now under archdruid Fandral Staghelm.
Lastly there are what I like to call the sentinel class. That's not their official name, but this is the meat and potatoes rank which may consist of warriors, rogues, hunters, archers, rangers, fighters. These are the people who actually get their hands dirty.
The highborne have been gone for some ten-thousand years.
How do they come back? Are there any night elves now who once practiced magic but ceased when the society became druidic? Would they learn it from their quel'dorei or sindorei cousins?
Might some night elves be drafted into the Kirin Tor in Dalaran after some high ranking mage saw a glint of promise in some night elf's eyes?
Would the night elf mages even be interested in joining a group such as the Kirin Tor? Or would they likely become more exclusive, forming an arcane practicing society made up only of night elveS?
Would night elf society at large even allow mages to roam free in the streets of Darnassus and Ashenvale? Or would these mages have to live in secrecy, much like the warlocks of Stormwind do, away from the prying eyes of those who might find their existence unsettling?

It sounds like these Highborne are the
Shen'dralar
which is kinda of amusing. These Highborne have been using a captured demon to feed off for the last 10 thousand years to keep themselves well powered and to stave off the Hunger after the destruction of the Well of Eternity. What is going to power them now is unknown, but more then likely the Druid and Sentinal caste of the Night Elves will stay far away from them, not forgetting the sins of the past too easily.

Would they learn it from their quel'dorei or sindorei cousins?Chances are, these are Shen'dralar mages who have always been spellcasters. It's also possible that these are former mages that were forced to give up the Arcane, but because of the cataclysm, are picking it up again, simply because Tyrande and Fandral have more important things to do than enforce their "No mages" rule. Take that into consideration with the Night Elves being in the Alliance and constantly working with Human and Draenei mages, and they've probably come to a better understanding that not all magic is evil, and are willing to allow it to deal with the cataclysm. Expect lots of rules and restrictions and mistrust on these mages.

Would the night elf mages even be interested in joining a group such as the Kirin Tor? Or would they likely become more exclusive, forming an arcane practicing society made up only of night elves?Given Night Elves' characteristic xenophobia, I would expect them to keep to themselves.
Would night elf society at large even allow mages to roam free in the streets of Darnassus and Ashenvale? Or would these mages have to live in secrecy, much like the warlocks of Stormwind do, away from the prying eyes of those who might find their existence unsettling? They'd be allowed to walk wherever as long as their working to deal with the problems. With the Horde in Ashenvale, relief from mages is probably readily accepted.

Yeah, and half the nation hated it. He's called the Betrayer for a reason after all.

The Night Elves won't be accepted as such. They will be like the outcasts of society, like Warlocks are. They are not to be trusted, but tolerated.
