Hey All!
Getting a little bored with the raiding scene, I decided to start PvPing again, and found out I loved it. Changed my offspec to a dedicated arena ret spec, and have been doing very well... in BG's and Wintergrasp...
First, here's me:
WestaneAs you can see I'm fairly new to the PvP scene, only just over 500 Res. Me and two guildies decided to get our 10 rounds of 3v3 in last night. One's a DK with about 900 Res, and the other a Holy Pally with about 200 (also new). First 5 games were 0-5, my burst was just not there. Next 5 I decided to switch to my PvE tanking spec, using
this with a +16 Hit gem to put me at 5%. All of a sudden, things started going MUCH better. I could sling stuns and silences around all over the place. Killing me was a royal PITA, it was just fun! We went on to win the next 3 matches.
Now I'm thinking about dropping the ret spec for Prot PvP (I can't heal BTW, just terrible at it). What I'm wondering is:
1) Were we just lucky? Or is this actually a viable spec right now?
2) Should I be using my PvP gear for high resilience, or my PvE gear for high stamina?
Any advice on the subject would be very much appreciated. Thanks!
