Emerald Dream was one of four main ideas being kicked around for expansions since WoW launched almost five years ago. It's a mysterious, large area, well established in lore, and would be a cool place to go explore. There are some files of it buried in the game, but it's all rough and nothing's accessible.
It's extremely likely that the Emerald Dream will be the focus of a future expansion (probably the next after Cat, but that's a ways off so who knows) and so people like to bring it up for discussion any time any future content is mentioned.
I didn't POST INFO HERE but you can find a ton of stuff about it with minimal effort just by searching online.
Also, you have posted the same topic twice.
You did, but I'm too lazy to post my response in both of your topics since you're too lazy to take 90 seconds to look it up anywhere.

The Emerald Dream is basically the spirit of Azeroth - not in the sense that it's a being, but as an actual spiritual incarnation of Azeroth as it was before the Sundering, in all its primal glory.
It tends to be the province of the Druid, ruled and guarded by the Green Dragonflight. Of late (for a given value of late) there has been a force known as the Nightmare that has been assaulting the Dream. It corrupted a number of the Dragons.
I believe Malfurion Stormrage (the prior Arch Druid) has been gone in the Dream for quite awhile, leading the Druids in an attempt to stop the corruption of the Dream (and thus, stop the corruption of Azeroth's spirit). With the release of Cataclysm, he will be returning to Azeroth to aid in the battle against Ragnaros.
A few comments were made during an interview with Chris Metzen (sorry, don't have a link) where he said that they had done a lot of work on the Emerald Dream - which lead some to believe that it would probably be the next expansion. Obviously it's not - but given that they
have
done work on it, we'll probably see it soon.
My guess? When we get to the end of Cataclysm and destroy Ragnaros and Deathwing (likely with the assistance of Malfurion), Malfurion will turn around and say something like, "You have struck a great blow for the peoples of Azeroth, my friends, and stopped the assault on Azeroth's body - but now I must ask more of you: We must save Azeroth's very soul." At which point we'll know that the next xpac is Emerald Dream. ;)
