You shoulda also consider
Massacre (110 AP)
, it's not proc-based, and with Predatory Strikes and Heart of the Wild, its actually worth 145.2 AP. If you're okay with a proc-based buff, then most people consider Mongoose and Berserking to be pretty similar; which is superior is dependent on your gear.
Executioner comes out behind these 3 by comparison, I believe.

I think what steamtrain was saying is, if Executioner puts you over 1231
with a trinket proc
(grim toll), then what its really doing is putting you over the grim toll
soft cap
, and in this situation Berserking/Mongoose/Massacre will likely boost your DPS more than Executioner.
He meant if you had ~1111
passive
ArP on your gear, then Executioner would probably be better. Grim toll does not have 100% uptime, and neither does Executioner -- the time when they're both up will be even smaller. Since ArP has the opposite of diminishing returns, the only time Executioner's 120 ArP will beat 120 Agi is near that hard cap of 1231. Relying on Grim Toll to make this true won't have 100% success.
(This is why most models have a tough time calculating Runestone / Grim Toll procs, you can't just say "Okay, 600 ArP for 10 sec every minute, thats like +100 ArP average right?" Because its not.)
Anyways, most of my info comes from Toskk, and it's widely known/thought that his model does not accurately predict ArP's benefits as well as a simulator like FeralByNight. It takes so long to set up FeralByNight, i just choose to trust Toskk most of the time though (I don't even have a runestone or a grim toll however).
