I am trying to anchor this border wrote in lua to my chat frame, by writing this into my chat addon file, it works fine when I anchor it to for example the minimap, but I can't get it on my chat frame, the problem is that the chat frame aren't really a frame, so I can't anchor something to it. Is there any way to work around this?
local frameborder = "my border"
local frame = the name of the frame I anchor the border to, which don't exist for the chat frame
local TopRight = frame:CreateTexture(nil, "OVERLAY")
TopRight:SetTexture(frameborder)
TopRight:SetTexCoord(2/3, 1, 0, 1/3)
TopRight:SetPoint("TOPRIGHT", m, 6, 6)
TopRight:SetWidth(16) TopRight:SetHeight(16)
TopRight:SetVertexColor(color.r,color.g,color.b)
TopRight:SetDrawLayer("BORDER")

Thanks for the help, the reason I thought the chat frame aren't a frame was because this macro
/run local f = GetMouseFocus(); if f then DEFAULT_CHAT_FRAME:AddMessage(f:GetName()) end
Did return WorldFrame while hovering the mouse over the chat frame. Do you know why that happens?

Okay I see, is it possible to create another macro that can get names on these frames too?
If not how can I find the names of the frames that me macro can't see?
