I was just considering ret aura. Talented which nearly all paladins will get gives 170+ damage per hit then more for spellpower.
Against a rogue feral or enh shaman. Your looking at 1 hit per second before special attacks.
10 seconds = 2500 damage during a stun lock by the rogue.
Isnt that just a little bit ridiculas for passive damage.
Its even more as im not considering spell power bonuses.
Like I was reading before we should be rewarding people for using their skills, not people with high armor and high innate survivability. Its encouraging and rewarding simple non strategic playstyle =s just my thoughts.

And how much can a rogue do in 10 seconds against a stun-locked target? try at least 25,000 :P

Hm i wouldnt of thought muti/prep pvp build rogue would do that much to a plate target.
Plus once the stuns off they die very fast.

I don't know for sure about now, but Rogues used to go at it in pve gear, which means they'd oft. have upwards of 75% ArP. In my experience, Retribution Aura is about equal to an Arms Warrior's bleeds in terms of the damage per second done against a single target.
If you ask me, Discipline's damage shield is a little over the top. I've killed myself on just that before without having done any real damage to the Priest.

Yeah the fact the shield can crit back should be changed.
Id guess shield can absorb at least 8k. Imagine if u get a high hit for 8k on the shield.
So (0.45 x 8) x 1.5 = 5.3k.

It's absorbing damage at the same time, too. I'd bet there are some classes that a Disc Priest would be inclined to avoid, in the way I avoid them on my Warrior. It sure is heart breaking though, when you die on a bubble while a) not doing any damage, and b) not gaining any rage.

Attack speed of 1 = 1 per second not 2.
Its a shame blizzards happy with this. Might stay away from my rouge and feral druid cos of it.
They are happy for ret paladins healing 10k in an instant heal. But other dps specs are taking perhaps 1/3 of the damage they do, just crazy.

Ok well heres a question. Why wont Thorns or Ret Aura take a rogue out of sleath if they smack you upside the head with Sap? And also a Retadin probably doesn't have much SP so hitting them will perhaps do minimal damage. I think the problem your having is Eye for an Eye, a talent that when your crit against the Paladin, a certain amount of that crit is taken by you aswell. 5k ambush is going to hit you for like 1100 and then Ret Aura for maybe 700. So you've just taken almost 2k damage just hitting them.

I don't know about all this reflected damage business, I'd trade it all for a Bloodrage effect.
