So... I'm still leveling my paladin, just recently hit 77, and its getting closer and closer to the time when I have to decide whether to go Prot or Holy for endgame pvp/pve. I've already ruled out Ret, as I personally don't like to play a class that can do something so important as heal or tank, and not take advantage of it.
So, I feel as though I'm a pretty experienced healer, except my experience is with Priest heals, even though I'm sure healing as a paladin can't be too difficult to pick up. This will be the first class capable of tanking that I will have at endgame so I really have no experience tanking, but I learn fast and I've been trying it out recently and its a blast. It does seem a little daunting however, having to deal with different stats and caps and what not.
So... what do you guys think I should do? This is going to be my main, and will probably be my one character I devote my time to so is it a good idea to go prot/holy or just holy/ret or prot/ret?

i have to say go with what you find best for you try all trees and look do you find them fun to play then keep that spec you find fun.
for me that is prot then holy then retri tho im trying to keep my gear on same lvl on all 3 or close to it
as a class so can do tanking healing dps you can take advantge of this by doing just that.
so find the spec/specs you like most and use that.
more help is not realy poss as this is invidual

Some people just don't like a class role. I can't tank reliably due to my computer, so I don't waste people's time with my 20 FPS. Instead, I heal and I
enjoy the crap out of it
. I used to raid as a Holy Priest in TBC, and since changed to raiding as a Holy Paladin since Wrath came, so I can sorta identify with you.
Except I can't identify with you. You're asking anonymously something that you should freakin' decide. You're not going to be a noob. Pick it up, play around with it, find where you should be.
This isn't something anyone can tell you that you're clearly meant to do from an anonymous forum post.
