Thanks, lovely <3
Good side note, nothing we have as Paladins can reset threat. Except maybe DI. (but not really for us...because I wouldn't count dying as resetting threat)

It doesn't reset threat, no, but it still shoots your threat down to zero for its duration. If you use it straight after you pull aggro your tank is definitely going to catch up to you in those 10 seconds.

It doesn't touch your threat, saying that doesn't describe accurately what it does.
It makes you immune to attacks and therefore to a PvE mob/boss untargetable unless of course you are all alone.
A better way to describe it is to say that it temporarily removes you from the threat table and immediately after the fact puts you back on it.
( This is all for Divine Shield however, seeing as how you can still be hit by spells with HoP I do not know how a boss will react to you. Nor am I willing to possibly wipe the raid to find out.)

If it's a boss that primarily melees then it will ignore a BoPed target. (sapphiron for example does this). I'm not 100% sure about a caster mobs though I seem to recall them casting as per usual threat (i.e. ignoring the BoP)
All I know is that until Yoggy I hadn't touched my BoPing button since BC.

HoP is useful on Gormak the Impaler as well when you want the other tank to take over in ToC 10/25.
I was happy when I found that out, "Yay I get to use one of my spells outside of pvp now!"

Death and battle rez - that'd reset threat quite nicely?
Even if it did reset, all we'd need to do is taunt and we're back up there again.
