Healing glyphs

I'm starting to gear up to heal heroics and raids, and I need glyphs.
as for the minor glyps I already got them all 3 (watershield, rebirth, and waterwalking)
the problem is the major glyphs there are so many good ones I just can't choose wich ones I should get.
Glyph slot 1: Lesser healing way. since this is one of the spells I'll be using the most, this one is a must have, i have no problems tehre.
Glyph slot 2 and 3 are the problem, see, the other healing glyphs look too good for me, and I can't seem to choose 2 from this list of posible candidates.
so pls shaman healers lend me your wisdom.
Glyph of riptide: longer duration for our best hot.
Glyph of Earth shield. our best tank heal will heal more.
Glyph of Water shield: increases teh passive MP5 gained by watershield.
Glyph of chain heal:will heal 1 more target.
Glyph of healing wave: when I use healing wave on someone else, 20% of the healed ammount goes to me, but I don't plan on getting this one, since if I need HP i can just trow a riptide on me, and I won't be using healing wave that much.
so there it is.
all riptde, earthshield, watershield, and chainheal, everyone of these looks great to me, and I know I gotta sacrifice 2, so wich ones I should let go? or putting it on another perspective, out of those 4 wich ones are the less usefull on the long run?

Use riptide to fuel your Chain Heals, not much else. (In other words, don't glyph it)
Glyph of Earth shield is good, espec. since you'll be tank healing most of the time in heroics.
Glyph of Water shield equals to roughly 30mp5. It's decent if you're just starting out but once you get your mp5 high enough, switch it out for some thing else.
Glyph of chain heal I would recommend since it makes some fights easier such as round 3 of the Black Knight fight in ToC.
You might also want to consider Glyph of Healing Stream Totem if you often run with a Paladin. Just have them cast Blessing of Wisdom on instead of using Mana totem cause the two don't stack. I would get this espec. if once you start raiding and get assigned to party heals.

:P I actually consider earthliving procs as a hot, even when they are neither powerfull nor controllable.
thanks for the tips, I've finnaly decided to settle with these:
Glyph 1: lesser healing wave.
Glyph 2: earth shield.
Glyph 3:Chain heal.
(some part of me still says that glyph 3 should be riptide, but what the heck)

For you minors... don't glyph for the extra water shield orb... it was something before 3.2 when we crit healed and consumed the orb... but now we don't consume it.

There's really no reason not to gem the orb. There are still a number of fights that will periodically trigger your orbs through their mechanics (and here I am talking about the ones with some kind of weird debuff placement that counts as damage but doesn't deal any, not standing in fire) and the alternatives for minors are basically non-existent.
There simply aren't enough fights taking place underwater to warrant glyphing Water Breathing.

But if you are healing 5 man heroics is chain heal your #1 spell?
I know I screwed up I am new to this but I use chain heal, earth shield and water mastery majors

help me out here is water mastery useful ?
riptide gets consumed so much should we glyph it?
Does anyone macro riptide in their spells?
I made an o shoot macro of nature's swiftness and healing wave.
any other macros?....
like I said I am a noob to resto healing and confused as heck.
Some have said earth shield the tank and lhw him...if party is taking damage chain heal.
others are saying earth shield and spam chain heal on the tank.
I are confused :)

The armor is correct but the totem I will change out to venture co chain lightning .

ok here is my 2 cents.
first off, no matter if it's 5man's or raids, u're most of the time gonna use LHW.
it's a fast spell, it heals, fast :P
the common tactic is to put earth shield on the tank, and just use riptide and LHW on him when on non-heroics. usually the party will take very little, or no damage at all.
if the party does take damage but it's only 1 then LHW is the one u gotta use, same if many are damaged but are too spread to be chain healed.
the most used spell is LHW, unless u're a raid healer.
there's a fat change on the picture.
raids allways feature heavy AOE damage, and is here where u'll be spamming chain heal, just put riptide on someone to power-up CH and spamm it.
with the changes to tidal waves LHW will now have 25% extra crit every time u use riptide or CH.
on 5man u're the tank healer, and as such put earth shield, trow riptide and LHW all the time unless more than 1 member is taking damage, if that's the case trow a couple of CH and continue to LHW the tank.
(Hope that wasn't so confusing xD)

Why not use CH in 5mans, too? If decently geared it should be more then enough to keep any tank up and it takes care of the group on its own so you don't even have to target anyone else except for the tank.

Its absolutely waste of mana. You just need to drop a Healing Stream Totem, and that solves the healing of the raid and you can focus on the tank, because with proper talent, glyph and a decent gear it heals 300+ every 2 seconds.

I only have 333 regen and I see post here stating 500.

@etrin Water mast. glyph is good if you have low mp5 but replace it ASAP when you start feeling comfortable with your mana regen.
Glyph of Chain heal I'd say is req'd for some heroics like HoL and the last part of H ToC.
Glyph of Earth Shield should also be req'd. It's amazing how much it MT/OT heals.
The thing about healing stream totem is that you are missing out on mana spring. Having a pally or really good mp5 + Mana Tide Totem can make up for this loss. Last thing to consider once you start raiding is that it's party-wide, not raid wide (unless wowwiki is out of date...).
