Gnomercy, heh, I see your link everywhere and yes, just make your link contextual if you want people to look at your profile.
Also, what point do Fury warriors explode with their dps(I assume they don't always lag behind the other classes or nobody would ever play them)? Thanks.
Fury warriors lag behind Arms while they are in greens/blues and in the beginning of Naxx gear. At the end of Naxx Arms and Fury really are close to being neck & neck. Once you have quite a bit of Ulduar gear, you will see fury breaking away from Arms. As it looks now, Arms won't be able to hold a candle to Fury once we are getting iLevel 258 gear and beyond with Icecrown coming out.
Even with this, you can have skilled players break these norms. If you understand the mechanics of the class and know the rotations/priority lists, you can compete with other classes and other specs at any time. I would suggest some
light reading for your friend, and if he takes the time to learn this, there is no way he'll can't compete with the rest of your dps.
First and foremost, he needs to take out those stamina gems and put in STR gems. Enchant his epics and find some expertise.
Red slots = str gems
yellow slots = str/crit gems
blue slots = str gems (or str/stam for meta requirement)

You need the high end stuff to really be raking in the dps... I have a friend wearing mostly lvl 232 and he averages about 3k... I wear mostly 200-219(more so 200) and I average 1.7k.. He just needs to grind out those heroics and take w/e pug raids he can... We're extremely gear dependent.
3k dps.. in 232? hm.. on a raid boss thats a bit low m8 for that gear level.. on trash its definately too low.
im mostly ulduar 25ish (no hards) geared and 4k is possible without breaking a sweat..
/agree.
That's me. The profiler won't add sockets, so shove another 2x +20 str and a +10 str/+15 stam gem in there.
I'm able to kick out an average 3.2k dps when I'm being lazy. If I'm concentrating, I
can manage to top out just over 4k (10 man ulduar - tricky but doable), although it's more like a 3.7k-3.9k average. A lot depends on the tanks, tbh. If I'm a bit overzealous on the initial few hits the tanks struggle to keep up so I have to hold off for a few more seconds, thus gimping my dps. Believe me when I say my enraged regeneration is
always on cooldown...
We have an arms warrior I raid with (when one of us isn't healing), and I've noticed the gap between mine and his dps is starting to widen, despite the fact we're both gearing up at roughly the same rate.
There's a hell of a lot to be said for player skill when it comes to fury warriors, but also a lot to be said for bloody good tanks. I'm forced to gimp my dps whenever I run with a new tank (or for the first few days of a respec/mechanic change/etc) just so I can slowly increase the pressure and find out how far I can push it without causing aggro problems. Warrior threat reduction is a joke, so just be sure your friend's aware of that as his dps increases :)
