i'm merely pointing out that there are different kinds of creationism as some try to incorporate scientific explanations whereas others reject science and the theory of evolution and its much more than what you generalized.
Yet both of those things you mentioned are properly labeled 'creationism,' so what makes it creationism must stem from what's common between the two (i.e. that God is the ultimate source of life and the universe).
To define it any other way leaves certain groups out and thus discredits them.

I did not define creationism as anything else nor deny that 'god is ultimate source of life and the universe' according to creationism.
Then why are you arguing with me?
If you agree that is the definition of creationism, then creationism
in and of itself
is not contrary to evolutionism(?). You can believe thing
in addition to
creationism (That God created life in 6 days, that the wold is 6k years old, etc.) which themselves contradict evolution, but that doesn't change the fact that evolution and creationism
in and of themselves
don't contradict.

Hyperspacerebel, you really have to cut that out. The whole arguing something with a non-standard definition really is just stupid. You seem to do it post after post. You instead should take the meaning of the word that is meant when they say it, and go from there. When someone is talking about creationism, they're talking about the idea that everything was created in 7 days and that humans were created as they are now as literally defined in the Genesis.

No they aren't, that's the whole point. I'm a creationist, but I don't think everything was created in 144 hours. You need to quit labeling people according to your own misconceptions.
Most Muslims are also creationists. Yet I doubt any of them believe the Biblical account.

Creationism:
1. the doctrine that matter and all things were created, substantially as they now exist, by an omnipotent Creator, and not gradually evolved or developed.
2. (sometimes initial capital letter) the doctrine that the true story of the creation of the universe is as it is recounted in the Bible, esp. in the first chapter of Genesis.
3. the doctrine that God immediately creates out of nothing a new human soul for each individual born.
Now, if there are more definitions for Creationism then it's a very ambiguous term.

I call it the Middle East because part of it is in Africa and part in Asia so Middle East is a area/territory
And muslims believe in something similar to the bible 6 days but god didn't rest in the end , and days probably meaning eras or eons over which life evolved but humans were created by god not evolved but other life forms did and still do evolve .
And humans probably evolved to because by most accounts Adam, Noah and others lived long lives and were very tall so Homo was created Sapiens were evolved
.
Are you implying that Adam's offspring and homo sapiens were once sepperate?

I troll people who say stupid things, like that God created Homo.
Actually, placing myself in a believer's position, He did. :)

The classification system is man-made. So you'd only be right indirectly.
It's like saying God created middle-class. Well, no, he created the people in the middle-class; the concept of middle-class is man-made.

I'm going to resist the urge to argue about this, because I don't want to derail this thread too much and I said it jokingly.
So
And humans probably evolved to because by most accounts Adam, Noah and others lived long lives and were very tall so Homo was created Sapiens were evolved
.
Are you implying that Adam's offspring and homo sapiens were once sepperate?

And according to you, he created living beings, the distinction between animals and humans is man made as well.

Actually, the distinction is made in the Bible. Which was, correct me if I'm wrong, divinely inspired.
