I want to know more about accidental Onyxia prediction lol

During one of the major RP's, I had Onyxia come back as an undead...and then Cata did it lol.

Dat moment where you want to see the ending cutscene and quest of an expansion, but also want to avoid spoilers.......... >_>
I never had any problems spoiling myself in previous expansions, but Legion is on a whole 'nother level of storytelling, writing quality, and attention to detail, complete with zone phasing, voiced questlines, etc.
So this is one time where I am actually trying to avoid spoilers until I've done the content myself.

Yeah, so, um....
Why the heck does Sargeras have a body?

Yeah, so, um....
Why the heck does Sargeras have a body?
Because defeating a disembodied floating sphere wouldn't be epic enough for the current raids.
Post by
Stabhorn
Head canon: Sargeras dumps all of his titanic power into creating a body after Argus dies. Because the portal between Azeroth and Argus is so wide, he doesn't need any magic to cross over. But because of this, he has no magic left. (Hence why he uses a physical weapon to wound Azeroth and can't resist the imprisoning spell)

Why's Blizz gotta be releasing all this world-shattering lore and %^&* in the middle of me trying to write a fan-fic after not playing WoW for years? :P
Legion has been the most lore-heavy expansion they've released since..... well..... ever. Its almost incomprehensible how much stuff happens over the course of this expansion. Both on a grander scale (Defeat of the legion, perma-death of almost all the big-shot demons, deaths of several major and minor characters, etc) and smaller scale (Destruction of the Night's Watch on duskwood, obliteration of what little remained of Stromgarde, destruction of the Monk Monastery, etc etc).
Its almost hard to keep track of it all, and requires playing every class to completion to see it all. My hat is genuinely off to blizzard on this regard, while I have a few gripes here and there, I have been overwhelmingly pleased with this expansion so far.
The DK campaign was just mind-blowing. If you ever get back to wow bro', you simply MUST play it. Use your free complimentary character boost to boost a DK to 110, and then play it.

Hey, guys i'm new to this forum but, i have some lore speculation for the BFA to start discussion. I have this theory for future lore since the first cinematic, and I want to share to anyone who interested.
When i see the BFA cinematic, i'm excited and disappointed in the same time. Excited because since depiction of the cinematic is siege of Lordaeron. That means we have another major city as possible raid, and The Siege of Orgrimmar is the best raid in WoW (that's my own opinion). It's excite me to imagine to march through the ruin of Lordaeron and then breakthrough to Undercity. We haven't raid there since Battle for Undercity in Wrath. However, I disappointed because it will be same as Garrosh fiasco, we all do not want a cheap repetition, especially Horde player like me didn't want lose another Warchief so quick and in the cheap way like that (*cough Vol'jin). At least make Sylvanas last for 2 or 3 expansion before remove her, and make it as glorious as possible.
But, i found a glimmer of hope for different, more juicy lore possibility when i saw the model of siege of Lordaeron. When i saw the cinematic, i thought Horde will got screwed again since Anduin embrace the light rather charge in bloody rampage and the Horde defenders seems has smaller army with Lordaeron completely surrounded. But, when i see the Siege of Lordaeron model, actually the one who had its ass handed is the Alliance. In that model Alliance forces make many grave mistake that will cost them the battle. First, Lordaeron not completely surrounded. Waterway which located behind Lordaeron practically untouched, and it's looks like the Alliance forces don't have any equipment to seizing that part. I presume that where Jaina and Kul Tiras forces come but, there is no single ship in that waterway. I speculate the absence of any Kul Tiras navy forces due the unsettled issue between Jaina, Anduin and possibly Greymane, or the Alliance forces drunk with victories prior the siege and decide to rush on to attack Lordaeron without any additional auxiliary supports . With the absence of any attacking forces in the waterway, the Horde defenders can ignore that part and more focus to the wall that get surrounded. That is huge disadvantage for the Alliance because, the second mistake, their forces not much larger than the defenders. This is really(5x) grave and stupid mistake. I may not military strategy expert but, the forces which attack any fortified place (castle, fort, ect.) at least must have forces twice stronger then the defender forces, even that, lot of time not enough (speaking from experience playing Shogun 2 Total War). But, that just not it, the Alliance decide to surround Lordaeron rather focusing on one place, stretching their already inadequate forces. On top of that, Alliance forces attacking in wave. The Horde defenders just need to pick apart each wave easily until the attacker broke. Never ever attack in wave when in siege. Don't believe me, consult Pixelated Apollo who host YouTube channel full of battle from Total War Series. He'll show you many ways to win a siege battle.
The third mistake is Alliance siege towers are exposed and have no extra protection except the catapult on the top. Those siege towers are extra crispy roasted sitting duck. Not just because their size make them easier target to hit but also, they're slow as hell. Those siege towers not just as moral booster for the attacking forces but, as tools for the attacker maintain the advantageous position while assaulting the wall. When those towers destroyed, like Sylvanas easily do, that make the Alliance forces near the tower starlet, confuse and scatter in panic to avoid falling parts of the destroyed tower. That will make the Horde push the advantages to dispatch Alliance forces as many as possible. And when all the towers destroyed, the Alliance forces will by confuse and demoralized. The Horde forces just simply press the attack to break the siege, heck, if their feeling lucky they might try to assassinate some of the Alliance leaders, mainly Anduin. That will sure instill fear and doubt to the Alliance forces. Even if Alliance forces decide to finish the siege by punching a hole in the wall, that won't give them any better edge to win the battle. The rubble from the destroyed wall will not simply disappear, in fact the rubble will make a hill like obstacle. That make Alliance forces harder to push through. For the Horde, this will make them more systematically decimate the attacking forces that try to push through because not just the hill obstacle but also, the Alliance forces are funneled to the hole they make.
In conclusion, Alliance forces will not win the siege of Lordaeron. The siege will broke, either because get push and crush by the defenders or because the low moral and many problems which make the siege unmanageable and has to be broken. Either way, that will repel any Alliance forces from Horde territory in Eastern Kingdom. Event in Lordaeron will be decisive victory for the Horde and crushing defeat for Alliance because an opportunity to fully annexed entire Eastern Kingdom under Alliance banner just slip by, and the fault will fall to Anduin, poor Anduin.
For awhile after the defeat, all Alliance leaders will bickering, pointing finger at each other to put the fault for the failure in Lordaeron. Anduin who feel the most guilt for defeat and the lost many Alliance life during the siege will try calm all the bickering party and try to come out of some solution. He probably also suggest to resolve the war without any further conflict. This sure anger all the Alliance leaders who want revenge more than justice. They eventually blame Anduin for the failure, calling him weak, coward and unfit as king. Greymane who still bitter of Varian death in the Broken Shore, spite Anduin the most for suggesting peaceful solution. He says that Anduin never should have become king and he do not deserve the legacy of his father. On to top of it in his seething rage, Greymane said Anduin is a disgrace of Alliance and will be remembered as king who bring the Alliance to its destruction. Those harsh words from Greymane, who has been accompany him since the death of his father, pierce his heart like a fel coated blade. Shatter his conviction, his confidence, his believe. He start to question himself, should he abdicate, should he give the leadership to other Alliance leaders like Jaina, Greymane or Magni who have more experience than him. The situation also not make him better. He start hear the murmur, the whisper and the gossip of the people and the soldier of the Alliance saying the defeat in Lordaeron because he's not King Varian, the Alliance is better under King Varian, if King Varian still alive the war will sure be win. This deeply shaken Andiun, rendering him to effectively doing his duty as a leader. The final nail of the coffin fall when Anduin hear a rumor of coup d'etat plot to remove him from the throne and passing the leadership of Alliance to other leaders. That rumor give Anduin a mental breakdown and put him in psychopathic episode. During his broken state, Anduin visited by a strange character offering bizarre yet tempting solution.....
Anduin not the only one who upset because the defeat in Lordaeron. Jaina who still want justice, or more likely revenge, for the bombing of Theramore and the death of Varian and dismantle the Horde, absolutely furious. To Anduin and to Alliance. But, she also furious because without the support of other factions within Alliance, she cannot exact her will. This force her to hatching plan to allied her self to other forces in Alliance to separate themselves from Anduin and engage war with the Horde. In this plan, Jaina even considering to remove Anduin as the leader of Alliance and put someone else, herself include as the candidate, and wishing Varian still alive. In this volatile state, a shady individual come to her with a solution. I only can speculate this character, because i'm not sure yet. It can be the agent of the Void, avatar of the Old Gods or a Dreadlord in disguise. Whoever the individual is, he give Jaina really insane and outrageous solution, to resurrect King Varian Wrynn. Of course Jaina consider that as crazy talk and brush of the strange individual. But, he persist. He persuade Jaina with his argument and reason. He also sounded Jaina's trouble, her plan fall apart due Anduin incapability as a leader, and if strong leader like Varian still alive and lead the Alliance, all her plan sure will be succeed. One even lead to another make Jaina hear the strange individual's entire plan. The individual said that he will not resurrect Varian as undead or lich or even death knight through necromancy but, rather resurrect him as full human like gifted priest resurrect the fallen with the power of the light. Jaina baffled by this plan because to do resurrection like that, the body of the dead has to be presented, and that's impossible since Varian not just killed by Gul'dan but also, destroyed. The individual said not to worry because the resurrection process will not require Varian body or the power of the light. The resurrection process will use void power to draw out Varian's soul and then make a stronger vessel for the soul. He just need Varian's sword, the compass that Anduin give to Varian, a full vial of Anduin's blood and assistance of several void elves power. The plan that offered to Jaina so crazy, so unbelievable, so outrageous to pick her disbelieve and interest. The idea resurrecting with the power of the void itself enough to give Jaina reason to expel the strange out of Kul Tiras. But, Jaina already has seen the skill and the potential the void elves shown since their join the Alliance under Alleria leadership and the possibility of a strong leader for the Alliance who could realize all her plan, intrigue her to say yes to the crazy idea. With this Jaina and the strange individual depart for Stormwind and present the plan to Anduin and other Aliance leaders that present at the time.
At that time, Anduin also visited by a strange individual who offer him to resurrect Varian with void power. Unlike Jaina, Anduin only half agree of the plan but, decided to discuss it with Greymane first. When Anduin and the strange indvidual who with him just to begin the discussion, Jaina come with her own strange individual. Jaina and Anduin confuse with both persons who visit them have the same idea. For a moment Jaina and and Anduin suspected trickery and treachery. But, both of the strange individuals give very convincing explaination, that both of them indeed have same plan but, decide to offer it to different leader fasten the process. One choose Anduin and other choose Jaina. This explanation enough to erase all suspicions, and discussion between Jaina, Greymane and Anduin about plan to resurrect Varian with void power begin.
Hearing the entire plan to resurrect Varian with the void make Greymane feel nothing but disgust and anger. Greymane say Jaina and Anduin is out of their mind to even considering to resurrect Varian with such unholy power. He also mocking Anduin insane and says that his should put more attention toward the people and the war effort rather listening to raving of a madman. Anduin snap back at Greymane and repeat every harsh words Greymane throw to him after the defeat at Lordaeron. Anduin also says if the might of old King Varian is the only power that can bring victory to the Alliance, here the opportuny present. Greymane stunned by his own terrible words throw at him by Anduin. He feel ashamed and guilty to ever said such hurtful words to the king he vow to support no matter how dire the situation is. After a few more reasoning Greymane agree with the plan. He also will persuade other leaders for the support. When the discussion about to finish, Wrathion barging in. Turn out Wrathion who has decide siding with Alliance and residing in Stormwind ever since, have notice the present of the strange individual who visiting Anduin and his insane plan. He has been try to locate and stop the strange individual but has not succeed, until the discussion of the plan to Varian resurrection has finish.
Wrathion prevent Anduin to forgo with the plan. He told Anduin this plan, if even succeeded, only bring Anduin sorrow and bring destruction to the Alliance even Azeroth. But, Anduin already convinced that to resurrect his father with the void is the best way for the Alliance to achieve its victory over the Horde, and he stay adamant to it. Wrathion again warn Anduin and try to stop him. But, Anduin stay firm, Wrathion even get resistance from Greyman who already turn to Worgen. Jaina also threatened Wrathion to step aside. The two strange individuals mock Wrathion and remind Anduin that Wrathion is a black dragon and a black dragon also who cause the death of Anduin mother, Tiffin, and many terrible things that happen to him and his father. Anduin taunted by those word and threatened the Black Prince that he will destroy him if he not step aside. This make Wrathion resort to violence to stop Anduin. Before he even lay an attack on Anduin, Jaina already froze him and teleport him to somewhere in Southsea.
Because what happen with Wrathion, Anduin, Jaina and Greymane realize that the plan will most likely rejected if presented to other Alliance leaders. So, the decide to rush it without any further discussion. All the required items for the plan practically already available. The sword and the compass never leave Anduin, for the blood Anduin willingly give. For the void elves, Anduin conveniently has a platoon of them given by Alleria as his bodyguard. With this their sail to the place where Varian fell, Broken Shore, with just a few fleets as company.
When all the parties landed at the Broken Shore, they immediately to the place where Gul'dan kill Varian. Jaina, Greymane and Aduin told to stay in safe distance when both of the strange individual prepare the ritual and instruct the void elves about the plan. Not long the ritual of resurrection begin. First, the two strange indviduals reciting some odd spell followed by all the void elves. Then all the void elves focusing to the compass. The Void power focused in the compass destroy it and shoot a beam of void energy to the sky, darken it. From the darken sky descent a massive void beam hitting the vial full of Anduin's blood. An from the beam come out glowing purple skeleton. The skeleton then warp with flesh then skin and then armor that so familiar in the eyes of Anduin. Stood there a Void form of King Varian Wrynn (sorry I can't describe better) taking his sword and fill it with void energy. Anduin who so happy seeing his father back to life, (but full of void) hastily approach him. Only be stop when Varian brandishing his sword at Anduin. You who resurrect me, you will the one i devour. Varian attack Anduin with inhuma

Continue from previous post.
Varian attack with inhuman strength. Thankfully the attack failed by five void elves who become body shields for Anduin. Those five elves immediately strike down and dead. But, not only that, their life essence and void energy suck away from their lifeless body. Anduin only can watch in horror what his father did. Void Varian then rising those five void elves. They become like undead but, with dim glimmer of void. They not have will of their own, only desire to feed living essence to turn into it to the void to fill their hunger. Void Varian and those he rise as void ghouls (please suggest a better name) start attacking other void elves and Stormwind entourage, sucking their life essence and turn them to more void ghouls. Anduin who still shock try to stop the madness almost stroke down if not Greymane to pull him out. At that moment the two strange characters reveal themselves as (i said before, dreadlords in disguise, agents of the void, or old Gods avatars) and reveal their plan to destroy Azeroth within using the devouring power of the void. They thank Anduin cooperation for their success. Anduin with desperation and anger again try to attack only stopped by Jaina who teleport them to nearest hiding place. From there, the three of them can see the horrors that slaughter of all the entourage who accompany them. After all of them had turn to void ghouls, Void Varian order them to take the fleet and sail for Easter Kingdom. And the sight of a fleet full of void ghouls lead by his mad void version of his father, remind Anduin the warning Wrathion give to stop his insane plan. What he does that time, by resurrecting Varian with void power only bring him more sorrow and destruction of Alliance and all life in Azeroth.
End for now.
Please give response to my speculations of the lore for next expansion. Any discussions, suggestions, criticisms or trolls are welcome. I might write the continuation but, first want to see all your responses. Thank you.

Typically resurrection requires a corpse, and since Varian has none, I don't think that's likely to happen at this point.
Post by
Jundairo
Well, yeah. Any type of resurrections in WoW do need the present of corpses. That's make Jaina in may lore speculation baffled and the plan impossible to do since Varian body literally disintegrated by Gul'dan. But, i also mention one of the requirement for the resurrection ritual of Anduin's blood. It's become the main ingredient for creating the vessel for Varian's souls. It's my fault not to explain the function for the three ingredients for the resurrection, the compass, Varian's swords and Anduin's blood. The compass use as memory tether to pull Varian's soul from spirit realm. This because the compass given by Anduin whom very precious to Varian and his carry that compass with great fondness. It's become Varian's worldly bound So, the compass become some kind of chain and its navigation system to bring Varian's soul to mortal world. The compass also never leave Varian since it given to him, except when in Broken Shore. It's also become Varian's memory bound and record. The memory bound use to bind the soul to his vessel and record use as blueprint for the vessel. The sword use as amplifier. Without the sword itself Void Varian already inhumanly strong but, since the two people who suggest resurrecting Varian want him to cause as many tragedies as possible. So, why not make him stronger. Also the sword give a fraction of Void Varian strength to every Void Ghouls he rises, make them more durable, smarter and stronger. And the Anduin's blood use as main ingredient for the vessel. The compass already provide the vessel's blue print and now the blood become the main material for creating the vessel. I should add more items in the ingredient list for the vessel but, i don't have much knowledge for WoW in game items and i do not want to make something up. The creation of Varian's soul vessel is based on alchemy theory of creating homunculus in game Grim Grimoire (the real theory for homunculus quit different than this). You create vessel using blueprint, mainly memory, and primary crafting material, mainly human body parts, since homunculus mostly created in image of human. Then, when the vessel created, fill it with soul, not necessary human's since the alchemist in Grim Grimoire game use angel and fairy soul, as living essence. In some sense this not fully resurrection, just put Varian's soul in different body. Yes, that's true but, what can we do Varian's body destroyed, some people wanted him still alive because Alliance losing decisive battle and everyone pointing finger at each for the mistake, but most of them pointing at Anduin.

So finally finished Antorus......
That was AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!! (Massive gushing-slash-rant inside)
So the fight against Argus more or less went FF14 on us XD its that epic. Visually it was a spectacle, and mechanically it was awesome. That we get to see and interact with all of the Pantheon during it, only made it even more awesome.
The ending with Illidan wasn't anywhere near as cringe-worthy as I thought it would.
Basically, we fight against Argus on the seat of the pantheon, aided by the titans themselves, and upon its defeat, the rest of the pantheon use their combined titanic might to imprison sargeras, but not before he literally stabs azeroth on the way out. Once imprisioned, Illidan stays behind on the seat to become the jailor of Sargeras (Irony!!!!) and we depart back home.
So........... a lot of things I wanna talk about this. Lots of good, a bit of bad, but I wanna make it clear from the start that unlike the endings of ALL the previous expansions, I actually liked this one.
I disliked the "There must always be a lich king" crap from WOTLK. I disliked the way Thrall and Deathwing were handled in cataclysm. I disliked that all our struggles against garrosh were for naught in MoP as he escapes anyways and we have to clean up his mess again, and the less I talk about the WoD ending, the better >_>
But this one? this right here is an ending on par with the ending of TBC, nay, even more awesome than that. And I have to take my hat off to blizzard for what has been quite a spectacular ride throughout this expansion.
Having mentioned all the good though, I have to talk about the few issues I had with it =/
For starters, if alliance players felt alienated and out of place during the final act of MoP, take that feeling, multiply it by a hundred, and that's how I felt during Legion. This REALLY felt like an alliance story, with the horde being more of a minor appendix. All the named characters present are alliance heroes. At the end of it all, during the celebratory gathering in the Vindicaar, I felt VERY out of place. At least in MoP, during the post-fight reunion on orgrimmar, there's leaders from both sides, but here, it was all alliance, and I had nobody to high-five. Turalyon, Alleria, Vereesa, Velen, Artificer draenei dude, all alliance. I find it troublesome that the only microscopic hint of horde involvement in this story came from the aborted arc of Sylvanas in stormheim, and the involvement of Liandrin during the Suramar storyline, after which she promptly disappears and doesn't even show up on Argus as the one token horde representative.
I really wish blizzard would stop doing that. There is a way to have a game with two factions and make both of them feel represented within the story. I've played SWTOR, and at no point that game made me feel like an outcast within my own story. But no, they alienated a lot of alliance players in MoP, and now did it again with the horde on Legion. Come on blizz, represent both sides. Its not hard.
The second issue I have, is with Titans and Bodies and Souls. According to the revised lore as per the Chronicles book, Sargeras killed all members of the pantheon, but Norgannon managed to sequester their souls and sent them to the Watchers on Azeroth, to prevent Sargeras from harnessing their powers. So the titans are dead. No bodies. Then Sargeras tried to cross into azeroth during the revised War of the Ancients, and the portal collapsed while he was mid-way through, destroying his physical body.
So ALL members of the pantheon are dead. Their souls still have a presence in the story but that's it.
Yet on Antorus, for some inexplicable reason, the Coven of Shivarra had the souls of four members of the Pantheon (Minus Eonar). How in heaven's name they did that? Those souls were on Azeroth. Aman'thul had his soul inside Ra-den, so how is it that his soul came to be on Argus? repeat question for the others.
That's not the only question I have. Sargeras very clearly sliced Aggramar in half in Chronicles, but here, Sargeras turned him to his side. How? he was dead. His body cleaved in two. How is he still alive? and whole? are titan bodies so easy to replace? Apparently so, because after beating Aggramar, his soul is purified of Sargeras' taint, and him along with the rest of the pantheon appear 100% unharmed and whole on the Seat of the Pantheon.
With bodies, and powers, and everything. Like nothing happened.
We're all familiar with the whole "Does nobody stay dead anymore" meme from Warcraft 3 but this is getting ridiculous. Death truly is nothing more than a slap in the wrist on this setting. We may as well not bother killing characters at all.
Which brings us back to my biggest question, the largest gaping plot hole.
Sargeras himself having a body to stab azeroth with. How is this possible?
I'm trying to wrap my mind around the Legion's plan here, and it makes no sense. So his original body was destroyed, and he couldn't reform because no mortal vessel could hold his cosmic power. So far so good. He's been a disembodied threat to the universe since then controlling the legion through his generals. So far, still good. They decide to invade azeroth once again, and take away Illidan's body to serve as the new host of Sargeras. This is not implied, its cleanly slated in the quests leading to suramar. That's what Gul'dan was trying to do, put Sargeras' soul into Illidan's body, but we thwarted that, and brought Illidan back instead. Okay, so far still good.
Here's where it gets weird. Turns out Sargeras had another titan body on Argus, that of the planet itself, and was trying to corrupt it to use it as a new body. Not only that, but he has the power to reconstruct titan bodies, because the cleaved-in-half Aggramar is now his personal enforcer, despite being sliced cleanly in two previously. If he had the ability to do this, WHY on earth did he try to use Illidan's body in the first place? Wouldn't it be better to just stay on Argus and finish his preparations, with no meddling azerothian forces to get in the way, get his spanking new titan body, finish corrupting the souls of his previous comrades and outfit them with new bodies (That he apparently can pull out of thin air) and THEN invade azeroth with his compadres? This plan just doesn't make any sense.
And its only made worse by him stabbing azeroth at the end. As amazing and as impressive as that was I have to ask.......... what the hell was that? He had a body this entire time? if that's the case, what was the point of the plan A of taking over Illidan, or Plan B of taking over Argus?
So yeah, those three plot holes sour a little bit what I otherwise consider a fantastic ending, but still, MILES better than what we've gotten in years. And I can only hope the quality of this story continues to improve in BfA.

Because the Illidan thing was stupid; it's still stupid and it will always be stupid, even if Emo-king realized he wasn't meant to be the savior he always thought.
As for the body thing...The Avatar; we've known for centuries that the Titans can make new bodies for themselves. Sargeras sent his Avatar to Azeroth after all, and that was able to implant a portion of Sargeras into Agewynn to create Medivh, even though at the time he was formless due to the whole revised War of the Ancient thing. The Titans shared a portion of themselves into the Watchers during the empowering of the Flights and the war against the Old Ones, so splitting themselves isn't that unexpected. These are beings who are at least Creator level Gods; the fact that they are still alive even after 'dying' means that there is something to them that makes them truly immortal, which is why they have to be imprisoned or they'll come back...which you know, we know is possible since the Demons did it all of the time, and those who were corrupted into demons gained that nifty power too, so why wouldn't the good guys have something similar?
The simplest way to look at is the same as the Olympians from the Iron Druid Chronicles; because of the belief in them, they are immortal and can't actually die. If the current body is destroyed, they respawn back on the mount and can continue doing what they need to do. It honestly seems like it's the same thing here; because the power of the original Parthenon was still in the universe, Sargeras and the Legion could draw it in and add it to their plans...and now they have bodies back, so it backfired on Sargeras.
As for the leaders who are there....to be fair, out of them, only two are Alliance; the other three are Army of Light/Argus faction aligned. Vereesa is there because Alleria, and Velen is there because Argus. That's like saying for Draenor because Khadgar and Yrel were there the final thing with Archimonde was Alliance centric.

Response to Rank.
I'm not sure it this needs spoiler, as it's current stuff.
I'll chime in on that the two windrunners there makes it more alien as horde. As they talk down to the warchief (who isn't there) that Sylvanas is some monster (because undead and warchief, doesn't seem to be anything she has done that is on trial)
And yea. Like, no horde at all in legion, you could argue from a hindsight standpoint with nightborne joining horde. But that's arguing after the fact. It'd be like saying garithos was right because of events in tbc.
Fighting Argus felt also weird, his build up was from nowhere in my opinion. As the big bad usually has bigger build up, having mentions through the expac. Lei shen feels more bigger and bader because of his buildup in the start. Several of the bosses could have the same. Like the engineer should have been mentioned somewhere regarding the fel reavers, and possible mentions in the artifact books. Like portal keeper is jewel of sargeras but as a boss, so. Why couldn't she be mentioned there? (possibly voice line like the DHT boss for druids).
But I'll defend blizzard a bit. The dead titans doesn't seem to go to Azeroth alone, but rather everywhere they have been by the looks of it, and sargeras just picked up the pieces. And looking how he turned from soul cloud to stabby. I'd say titans can turn from souls to humanoids. Guess it's not out of place given the implications of their birth by argus in the audio book... But, not explained fully and came out of nowhere (like their deaths kinda).
As a final point. I'm glad that the army of light join the alliance. Because they are sooo bad in the raid it's funny.
But even with all that, fantastic raid. Really did enjoy it.
Edit for adam.
Perhaps, though blood elves, orcs and undead have a lot of story with the legion. And none of that was explored. Not with kil'j (was all illidan, khadgar and velen) nor in antorus. It's like the horde forgot they had quite a bit of misery becouse of the demons. And the forsaken have quite so with a dreadlord there... But no. Let's focus on the alliance counterpart of cairne that didn't die. Leader of a allaince race (velen) and then on turalion and alleria. Who are both alliance, one of them shouting hate of the horde in context of her sister leading it.

And that's my point more or less; it's about the over all thing, rather then race specific things. It's the over all tone of Legion itself: Hey, don't focus on what race these people are, focus on what they are fighting. Just look at the order halls; the champions there are either from the Legion zones or just specific members of some of the races, and the Halls themselves don't have all of the races that can be the class shown in them. But it's not the first time and it won't be the last; we've seen it with other end of Expacs.
I get it, but hey, seems like we'll get lots of Horde and Alliance again as the completely pointless war starts up for the 4th time for no real reason at all during Battle so there's always that.

Legion started well. When it was the order halls, the race didn't mater much. So no complains there. But that was droped around tombs. and gone by antorus. It was all centered around Velen, Illidan, Khadgar, Diamond dorf, Alleria and Tyralion.
Why wasn't Liadrin there for some Sunwell fury on kil'j etc etc.
The whole comparison started with Anduin getting the sword. As horde had no counterpart.
It felt lazy.
Like the robotcat in pandaria, without even the robotcat.

/shrug See, it doesn't surprise me or disappoint me cause I don't expect them to ever effectively do the representation in game, since the next book either ret-cons the event, or the Chronicles themselves will do it. If there's a lore hole, it gets filled in later, but you are just suppose to ignore it for now.
Edit: In other words, they write the story specifically around certain characters and they don't care about anyone else. That works in a standard RPG but not an MMO because there are so many different things in Warcraft that can change...and at the same time I get it; look at the end of Siege where you had people complaining that leader characters just stood around and did nothing while Varian and Vol'jin eyeballed each other then walked away. They can't do everything at once without it seeming like the characters are just there.
