I expect this thread to get locked sooner or later. My last thread they let sink to page three, them summarily deleted it.
That wasn't me.
Always when hyper gets involved...
Really? Have care with the word "always".

Doesn't really matter. Whoever did it wasted time. It's not like the topic will go away.

It's not like the topic will go away.
Because you don't let it die...?
There is always another to step up to the plate, so I wonder about that logic myself...

As far as ethics go, it was wrong for the man to hold her hostage. Since abortion is currently legal, it would be accurate to say the majority of people who stand behind this law make it socially acceptable, even if many frown upon it.
Now let's say that the baby grows up, and tries to press charges against the mother for attempted murder.
Legally, no. They are two completely different things.

So the law defines ethics? Do I need to bring up Nazi Germany again? What about countries like Iran, where rape is legal? In fact, the victems get punished. So, since that is legal, it is ethical?
The last time I checked, the government's rules are not ethical. I know Socrates died for the 'social contract' of obeying the government. I respectfully disagree. We should be painfully aware of the dangers of unquestionable followership by now.

abortion = bad
imo
women being able to choose if they want an aborting = good
imo
my 2 c kthnksbai
I'll never cease to be perplexed by this logic when applied to acts performed on individuals:
X = bad
being able to choose X = good
If it were just the woman in the formula, fine, but there isn't. She isn't JUST choosing for herself, but for another human being, too.
I have heard every arguement in the world that that person simply
isn't
a person.
People astound me.
My opinion: kthxbai is super rude.

You have heard many arguments, and yet you still refuse to accept it? When you ask a question, you don't ask the question again if you get an answer that you don't like.
She is deciding for herself when it comes to abortion. When the fetus is born and becames a baby human, then its rights will be considered.

Are sperm cells people too? You didn't answer me before (I haven't read the entire topic yet though).

You have heard many arguments, and yet you still refuse to accept it? When you ask a question, you don't ask the question again if you get an answer that you don't like. Hearing arguements is not the sole reason to accept a belief. And I DO keep asking the question. I won't let it die, as Skyfire puts it.She is deciding for herself when it comes to abortion. When the fetus is born and becames a baby human, then its rights will be considered.She decides for the baby too when she aborts. The fetus should have rights like any other human being, no matter what you call it.
Did you want to use logic in your arguements, or can we just keep doing 'no u'?

The law uses DNA to prove a person was at a crime scene.

I don't see why it would. Where do believe the rights for humans come from, and then consider why you would think that that should extend beyond humans at the cost of human rights.
Did you want to use logic in your arguements, or can we just keep doing 'no u'?
You're the one trying to prove that something that is unborn should have the same rights as a human. So its on you to actually make a legit argument that can't be so easily swatted down.

A zygote doesn't, plenty of the stages of an embryo don't.

Savvy, MyTie. But I don't see what that has to do with anything.
