Its so strange how those lower people dislike socialism and yet feel entitled to get whatever they want, even if they don't have the means to get it. Most of the economic problems lately have occurred because of that reason. The common peon mind is sometimes so hard to understand because it doesn't use logic.

Your post goes against logic of any sort.
I'm not saying that socialism is or isn't bad, I'm just saying I think its ironic that stupid people would benefit a lot more from socialism than they believe they would.

There are problems with Capitalism and Socialism alike. Just as there are problems with Democracy.
Which is why I'm not arguing for Capitalism...so don't bring it up in defense of socialism.

That isnt even the point. if you are going to comment, comment on the meat of the post?
Because that paragraph has nothing to do with my point. I'm not here to defend or condemn government provided health-care. All I did was answer Lost's questions, why socialism is considered a dirty word by many.

Either way, I am pretty sure the point is valid, that government dollars are currently (not in a socialist system) being used to take care of these same "lazy" people.
Yes...which is why America is not considered a libertarian state.
I simply don't understand the logic of the argument that Socialism can be boiled down into rewarding the lazy.
No one's boiling Socialism down to anything. I was pointing out a flaw in the system which causes Socialism as a whole to be less desirable, "dirty" as Lost said.
All things aside: If we want to see the bailout of GM as ignor(ing) hard work and dedication, instead rewarding laziness how do we feel about it? Again, i am not saying anything here is necessarily your viewpoint, but this is the argument.
I believe that is the epitome of Capitalism gone wrong in the USA. Socialist? In a way, but also anti-socialist at the same time.

I know you have no love for Obama, but given all this discussion and the evidence presented, do you think it is accurate to qualify him as a Socialist?
Just so you don't get me wrong, I had no love for Bush either (or Clinton, or that other Bush guy).
I believe that his motives are partially socialism-based, his actions seem to me more of an attempt to marry Socialist principles to a preexisting Capitalist structure. I think he's a man who sees problems in a Capitalist system and thinks he can fix those problems without leaving the system all together by bringing in from the outside what he sees as good.
No Socialist (member of the party) in their right mind would consider Obama a Socialist, and who am I do disagree with them--they know their own positions better than I do.
So in short. He's a capitalist because he's working within a capitalist system and has no intent of getting rid of the current system. He's socialist because he believes that problems inherent in the US's current situation can be fixed using principles derived from socialism.

What's wrong with Socialism?
Allows people to move up in the world, yet places a safety net below them should they fall.
-signed, Canada.
Because there is absolutely nothing to guarantee that you are safe.

This guy
has more accurate views of politics than most Americans. Vote for who you believe is best, don't make it personal, and most important: Nobody is right. It's not Battleship the boardgame, it's the self-governing of a nation. I foresee this thread going nowhere fast.
