MyTie, race is tied into economics too much for you to simply forget about it, even if it is a touchy subject.Agreed. I think it can be avoided, and still make many of the points you intend though.

As far as quelling the media, what?
Also, even if he was, that has nothing to do with economic policy.
Remember when questioning George Bush was unpatriotic. Pardon my french but MOI, JE ME SOUVIENS!
I've noticed more and more people forgiving Obama's mistakes by pointing fingers at George Bush. I keep hopeing that someday, it will no longer be 'cool' to make fun of Bush. I somehow think that people would move onto competent political philosophy, but I know in my heart that they won't. Society treats politics like an internet meme instead of the fate of their government. The commander in chief coerceing the media is ok because it used to be uncool to criticise the last president?
Scary world we live in. Dumb, but scary.

FoxNews is ok because it used to be uncool to criticise the last president?Fix'd
And this is ok with you? It shocks me more that people are ok with it than the fact that it actually happens. Just because you disagree with Foxnews or think it is bad, shouldn't cloud your judgment so much you are willing to let a president overstep his/her bounds.

Lol... pgay1
It's not like his administration simply made comments, they specifically pressured media leaders to block out a media organization that their administration disagrees with. They didn't storm the place with machine guns, true. But, at what point does a presidents actions cross over into inappropriate?
Also, what the hell does "/lessqqmoarpewpew" have to do with anything. This isn't the friggin druid forums, you blockhead. This is a discussion about the US President trying to stifle opposing voice. The fact that there is not outrage, but instead "/lessqqmoarpewpew" reinforces my belief that humanity is spiraling downward into sheer idiotic self destructive stupidity. Lead the way, Captain Idiot.
