Warrior Leveling: 70 to 80

I've combed the stickies and visited many a warrior site and I've been received with mixed opinions. Most of the information I found was outdated, so I thought I'd get some 3.2 info from the forums.
I'll be levelling a 70 Warrior which I haven't played in a little over a year. He's in Howling Fjord waiting eagerly for a talent spec as I write. ;)
What levelling spec have you used or think is now the most viable from 70 to 80? Is the pure DPS of Fury a match for the little to no downtime Protection? Is the neglected Arms the most efficient?
Any actual rotation or tips in general for levelling a Warrior in WotLK will also be appreciated. Thanks for your help.

To sum up what I've found out so far:
Arms build
·The majority of opinions I have found conclude that the Arms build (using a Slam/Overpower rotation) deals the most damage.
·I have found opinions stating that with the Arms build you will take the most damage, giving you the most downtime of the 3 builds by a wide margin.
Protection build
·The majority of opinions I have found conclude that the Protection build deals the least damage of the 3 builds, though not by a large margin.
·I have found opinions stating that with the Protection build you will take the least damage, giving you the least downtime of the 3 builds due to the damage mitigation.
·I have found opinions stating that with the Protection build you will be able to take on the most adds of the 3 builds.
Fury build
·Many of the opinions I have found conflict in the conclusion of whether the Fury build deals the most damage or deals less damage than the Arms build.
·I have found opinions stating that the Fury builds provides the least downtime of the 3 builds due to the life regeneration.
I'm considering both the Arms build and the Fury build. I'd take the Arms build for the high damage, though the comments about it's downtime being high make me lean towards the Fury build.

The damage from fury is less reliable when levelling, since you're prone to missing a lot and chunky rage generation. Arms is reliable, but the (partial) dependence on bleeds isn't optimal for levelling. Prot is god mode, you basically cannot die from regular mobs and most elites are easily dispatched too. However, prot has significantly lower single-target DPS than the other specs. If you pull many mobs, prot can do higher DPS than the other specs though.
Anyway, since all three work decently, there's no "wrong" spec to level from 70 to 80 with. Go with what you like to play, levelling a bit slower or faster won't matter much.

At 70, dual wield 1h fury is also a viable option. With that you can get rampage, impale and deep wounds.
titans grip without 2h spec, impale and deep wounds from arms is kinda lame.

I'd like to give Arms a try, should I spec for 2-handed and get a 2H or just dual wield 1Handers?

arms use a 2h

I've heard a lot of good things about levelling with Overpower and few bad ones. I thought up
this
spec, and would like to give it a try.
I know next to nothing about the spec other than Overpower, Overpower and Overpower. My guess was stick to the 2H with Arms and the other 5 in Swords, imo the most common weapons. Then again, might go axes for
Axe of Frozen Death
and then
De-Raged Waraxe
, which can last people from 70-80. ;)
Any thoughts about this or the Overpower spec in general?

protection is very fast. you can basically pull as many mobs as you can reach without having them reset if you are working on yellow/green quests. you can solo most of the elite bosses as well.
i would use a build like
this
.

Either go Arms if you have dps gear, or go Prot if you have tank gear. I did 70-80 as prot, in tank gear with a 1h dps weapon, and it was fast. You don't kill single mobs nearly as fast as a dps spec, however you can easily solo any of the "group (3)" quests, and you should never be killing single mobs. You gather up 10 or so of whatever mob you need for the quest, and work them down.
The other bonus to leveling prot (kinda negated with dual-spec now) is that it makes it very easy to find groups for doing dungeons as you level to knock out the dungeon quests that you pick up. A lot of the quests will give you tank gear as your only plate reward, so it's almost as if Blizzard wants you to level as prot.

No, you shouldn't generally be using tank gear for levelling as prot. Some tank gear, eg. with a lot of shield block value, can be useful, but for the most part DPS gear (plus a shield ofc) will work better. It will increase your DPS, allowing you to kill mobs faster and thus be taking damage for a shorter duration, balancing out the loss of avoidance. You should only swap into more tank-oriented gear to kill tough non-caster elite mobs.

I found that I was able to pull much larger groups of mobs at a time (without dying) when in tank gear compared to using dps gear while leveling, although I will admit my tank gear at 70 was significantly better than my dps gear was. I could take about 7 mobs at a time in dps gear, but in tank gear it was upwards of 12, depending on the mobs.
I never actually timed how long it took to kill the groups either way, so I don't know for certain whether the mob/time was higher for dps gear or tank gear, but it "felt" faster with tank gear.

I've given the Overpower spec a shot and I'm somewhat dissapointed due to the harsh damage intake, though the damage output is far beyond what I expected.
That said, I'll be giving the last spec available a shot, protection. I'll use the only shield at my disposal, a
Nerubian Inner Husk
along with an
Arm Blade of Augelmir
to try out the spec.
The spec I'm looking at is
this
, similar to marklartank's, though taking Devastate discount over 50% silence chance.
I know even less about Prot rotations than I do Arms rotations. I can guess at Thunderclaps and Demoralizing Shouts, but what else do you use to simultaneously DPS down 7 mobs?

It's not just silence, it's shield slam damage. It's a much better talent than puncture.
You shouldn't be wasting GCDs on demoralizing shout in most cases, but thunderclap and shockwave are your top priorities. After that it's just single-target attacks (shield slam, revenge, devastate) when the AOE moves are on cooldown.

I could easily pull 5-10 mobs in mostly DPS gear and not die (nor even lose particularly much health), so that's a non-issue. Also remember that there are often limits to how many mobs you can pick up easily. If you have to fly around in circles a lot to pick up mobs, that's a waste of time too.
