eres mine:
A man is sentanced to execution. he has 3 choices.
1. a room filled with assasins that will brutally murder him
2. a room that is covered in flames
3. a room filled with lions that havn't eaten in 3 years
which one is the safest?
Third one, cause the lions have all died of starvation.
Or, from the way you word it, the second one could also be safe (depending on the flammability of the walls) as the flames are not actually
in
the room, they're covering it.

I shall not
quote you
good sir, for that would be improper.
And for mine:
Silent, unseen, small cousin of death
Born this instant, closer than breath
Killer of thought, assassin of dreams
Memory's surgeon, the end of all schemes.

Two objects. Both are very common and both serve the same function. One has thousands of moving parts, and the other has none. What are they?
The objects were an hourglass and a sundial, for those who were wondering.

There are 2 rooms, A and B. There is a hallway connecting the 2 rooms. The hallway is sealed by one way doors, that cannot be held open once you have passed through it.
In room A, there are 3 light bulbs. The light bulbs function like any normal light bulb, although they are unable to break.
In room B, there are 3 light switches. Each light switch is connected to one of the bulbs in room A. The wiring has been mixed up and no one knows what bulb is activated by each switch.
You start in room B.
How can you be certain about the switch that activates each bulb?

Turn on Switch 1. Wait about half an hour. Turn off Switch 1. Turn on Switch 2. Go to Room A.
If the bulb is on, it's Switch 2.
If the bulb is off, but hot, it's Switch 1.
If the bulb is off and cold, it's Switch 3.

They spent 27 dollars, and they got 3 dollars back. You don't add the amount they already spent on the receptionist to the amount they spent.

I mean here's another riddle. I'm also looking for good ones for my English class at school too.
We are little airy Creatures,
All of diff'rent Voice and Features,
One of us in Glass is set,
One of us you'll find in Jet,
T'other you may see in Tin,
And the fourth a Box within,
If the fifth you shou'd pursue,
It can never fly from you.
