So my Realm is currently dieing. Their is only one english speaking guild that is doing serious raiding and they are not recruting my class. I rekon its about time for a change, i would like to know what is the 'best' alliance PVE realm.
By best i mean lots of competative raiding guilds that are getting through end-game content.
Thanks in advance:)
Forgot to mention that i play EU

That's the "ranking" of realms based on amount of progression in current content. Check out the list, look for a lot of top ally guilds since that's what you are. For example Mal'Ganis is the top realm, but very very horde dominated.
Edit: No love for EU realms I guess. Gore got a link to EU ones below. Mine is to US realms.

i have recently been playing on thunder horn as ally there seems to be a high rate on english speaking players on there and none of the Swedish Spam. which sadly is killing the server for none Swedish players.

You wouldn't ever consider it because its so low on the list, but, stay away from Arathor.
In Vanilla this one of the most played realms out of the lot. In TBC it maintained this. Since Wrath, it has gone down hill. It is now host to Hungarian / other language guilds. Horde side, there are 4 English Guilds who actually raid. One has managed Grand Crusader 5/5, 2 others are working on Anub hard mode, and the other hasn't even got a boss down in Grand Crusader.
The rest of the progression guilds are all Hungarian. Alliance isn't that different, if I remember correctly.
Seriously, this realm is dead. I'm not trying to imply anything, but Hungarians seem to run this realm, and foreign trade chat is damn annoying. The only good guilds are hard to get in to since everyone applies to them. Trying to PuG is like... shooting yourself in the foot. Naxx10 is a struggle.
I want to move servers so much, but I have no idea where to go. Why bother staying on a server where you only have a few friends left (most transferred to other guilds, some joined the top end guilds and I don't really speak to them).

Dragonblight EU server.
The alliance side is alive, we got many english speaking guilds, we do got a few swedish guild now aswell it seems. The progress may not be in top, but we got many guilds raiding pve content. We also got very high rates from pugs raids so far i can tell.
The atmosphere is friendly, allthough trade can be a bit sharp at some times due we got as all servers a few trade scums:)
If you want a good home, i can recommend this on ally side. Horde side is alot smaller and from that i gather raiding can be a bit harder there.

I suppose I will plug Scarlet Crusade (US), pretty awesome realm IMO, but lemme list out the benefits just to make it clear:
I play there, so you know its gonna be great!
We have an insane shortage of PuGing healers and tanks, to the point where it is impossible to PuG if you are anything else and don't know anyone. I have sometimes seen the LFG window completely full with 15-20 dps trying to do Ony. Not one tank or healer.
Progression-wise, we are REALLY Alliance-favored, having two pretty well-to-do guilds running heroic ToC25 and such.
This being said, we have a lot of guilds that are kind-of in between, and do a large number of ToC25 pugs. I belong to a guild that is sort of a "mercenary" guild; we get invited to join bigger guilds on raids, but don't really have that "raiding guild" commitment. Win!
So...if you like that previous point, go ahead and head over to Scarlet Crusade, Alliance, and message me in-game to get an invite to mah guild! It's loads of fun!

This is exactly why i discourage joining Drak'Thul, unless someone is Czech or Slovak. The only guild on my realm that is not Czech/Slovak is the "Serbian Legion", which has like 6 members lawl. People who do not speak one of the unofficial realm languages are well known among the community and vastly ignored in regard to PuGs. It IS damn annoying to give commands and describe tactics in two languages, and thats not even considering that 80% of the people on Drak'Thul do not speak english. :B
But progression-wise its not that bad, we have some awesome guilds on the Horde side, with really good world ranks even. The alliance is worse though. Tha Horde:Alliance ratio on DT is about 9:1. We have never seen a WG battle without tenacity, and the Alliance guilds struggle with 25m raids (well, hard modes. EZ modes are EZ) because there is not a high number of players that are good enough... and there is nowhere to recruit from. But the low population is rather good sometimes, its nice to know at least a bit about every single person you meet.
Its also fun how Horde players are so used to winning over Alliance, that they forget its the sheer ammount of them that wins the battles. Events like a horde raid being all confident and attacking an Alliance raid (which is equally large, but they do not seem to notice that), just to be WTFpwned a few seconds later are not rare.

Most realms (With a good population of English speaking people) Have a few good raiding guilds.
My suggestion is to find a guild willing to accept you (If the guild on your realm wont accept you I doubt any really hard core guild would)
So find a guild that raids at a convenient time for you and will accept you and move to that realm. Like I said most realms should have a few good raiding guilds so you can take your pick)
I know my realm Burning Legion US has a good variety of raiding guilds, 10m and 25m that start anywhere from 5pm-2am.
