The fact is, all the MD (1 through 5) hashes are 128 bit, written down as 32 hexadecimal digits. There is no way (short of actually decrypting it and getting a meaningful answer) to tell which one is used.
Based on popularity alone, I would say MD-5 is your best bet, but that is rarely the case in challenges. In fact, it might not be a hash at all but a completely reversible encryption that's just written this way to confuse people.
Hacking is not just about breaking hashes. You must have in-depth knowledge of the situation. Besides the task, what other information was given? What can you infer from reading between the lines? Are there any hidden clues? Do you know any background information that might be relevant to the challenge?
If you want more help, you would have to provide a better picture of the situation.
