I didn't see the posts, but this seems rather hypocritical. Rather than just delete the posts because your
experience
proves otherwise, why don't you find data to back up
your
claim and then delete it before you ask that of someone else?
As it looks to me, or anyone else who didn't see the arguement that you deleted, it looks like you just abused your powers.
There was a discussion that was derailing the topic. The discussion (turning into mild flaming) was centered around the idea that the majority of the adults (if I recall correctly) are openly negative against homosexuals. On the grand social scene, this is incorrect - the media and people I know (a small number, compared to the public media) are rarely openly against homosexuality. This voids the original "most adults are negative against gays" argument, which led to the slightly aggressive discussion.
Normally, I would agree with your point - I should not delete claims without proving my own. But I am pretty certain I am right. And moderation always goes down to the moderator's judgment call.
Now, back to topic...
It looks like some of you think I am comparing down syndrome to homosexuality, and saying both are diseases. Not the case. Both are genetic mutations (and I believe homosexuality is a mutation, because heterosexuality is the predominant case. Use "genetic alternative" if the word mutation implies negative connotation to you). The reason we call down syndrome a disease (illness would be more appropriate I think) is because it clearly makes one less effective in a society - less able to operate like a normal human would. Homosexuality does not limit a person in any of those ways - it's not a disease. But it still has genetic base.

They're not against homosexuals, they're against homosexuality.
Anyways, I don't hold it against you for deleting the posts - its your job to snuff out flaming, and getting rid of a topic of discussion that caused flames would stop it. Still, I don't know what that other guys attitude problem is... I guess since I mostly hang around the intellectual types IRL, it doesn't seem out of place for me to say that the average non-intellectual type of person is much less intelligent (and therefore is more inclined to think emotionally rather than rationally).

I'm saying that homosexuals should have perished because of
Natural Selection
What the hell are you talking about? Just because you're gay doesn't mean you don't have the assets to survive and pass on your genes. Natural selection has nothing on homosexuality-- homosexuality is not sterility.
Because homo guys tend to lag wants when messing with women.
Maybe this would have caused that an average homo wouldn't have:
a) Never reproduced (there are some theories that only 40% of men have reproduced, I can find you the link if you want to.)
b) Reproduced less offsprings than hetero guys
And in the end Homos would have perished.
*sigh* That totally depends on if the recessive trait was linked to the Y chromosome. Most are starting to believe that the traits are linked to the X chromosome, which both male and females carry.
And this is a collection of studies to that effect.
And for eons, until just in the past 70 or so years,
women
have been forced to marry despite their wants. So, the trait could have easily passed on through out the ages.
