The renaming factor, then, is whether we believe in God or not... it becomes the only factor relevant in our acceptance into Heaven then.
Yes. There are sinners and there are those who are saved. Those Jews who are still waiting for the Messiah are not waiting in vain.
Yeah, except that Jesus already came and most of the Jews refused to acknowlege him because he didn't fit their image of a savior. They wanted a physical savior and Jesus was a spiritual one. The Jews can no longer be saved by offering sacrifices to God, they've got to believe in Jesus,
just like the Gentiles
.

It doesn't matter if you sin because you accepted Jesus which saved you from all sins past, present, and future.
I would very much disagree. We still have free will. Jesus died for us and open the way up for our sanctification. We still have to do our part.
Read on. :P
Obviously, just because you can sin without going to Hell doesn't mean you should go out and party. A true believer will strive to live as perfect a life as he or she can attain.
My point was that if you sin after accepting Jesus, that sin won't cancel out your salvation.

I don't know; I think when you die, it's whatever belief you have that chooses where you end up; if your Christian/Catholic, you'll end up in that white heaven place. If your a believer in reincarnation, you'll be reborn as something else.
How does that even really make sense?Makes a lot of sense... what's heaven to you wouldn't be heaven to someone else.....

Just an FYI, there are some non-believers in heaven if you accept that everything the Pope says is infallible. One of the Popes during the Middle Ages made a proclamation that anyone who died fighting in a Holy Crusade would be given passage to heaven.

As to a murderer going to heaven and not the atheist:
God accepts you into heaven whether you accepted him or not. It doesn't matter if you sin because you accepted Jesus which saved you from all sins past, present, and future. Obviously, just because you can sin without going to Hell doesn't mean you should go out and party. A true believer will strive to live as perfect a life as he or she can attain.
I see. Then how would accepting God and Jesus into my life give me a more perfect life, or make me a better person? Am I necessarily bad if I'm atheist? Is my belief in God necessary for my pursuit of a "more perfect" life?
You are now saved. Sin will no longer "bog you down" as much. As a true believer you
want
to do good and be as perfect as possible. When you accept Jesus, the Holy Spirit itself comes and resides in you. Is my belief in God necessary for my pursuit of a "more perfect" life?
Yes and no.
You could hypothetically live a sinless life, but it wouldn't matter because you are born into sin. A person can still live a good and nice life, but if they never accept God, they will still go to Hell.

And my point is that it
will
. We damn ourselves with our actions. God does not take our free will away.

Did you read that in a picture book?

Yes. There are sinners and there are those who are saved.
So my actions (other than believing) are irrelevant?
No.
We are encouraged to live as blameless a life as possible and to try and show other people the way to Christ.

Why?
Does it not say in the bible that we will be forgiven for everything if we accept God?

Furthermore, how is one God fundamentally different from a multitude of Gods who have the same jurisdiction and role?
How are the 330 million Hindu Gods fundamentally different, collectively, from the one Christian God?
How is one president different from another? They're all presidents that rule over one thing aren't they?

And we are. But then if I go and
reject
him again by sinning, I'm...wait for it....no longer
accept
ing him! You must return to him and accept him again and your sins will be forgiven.

But we already have the Holy Spirit. As you pointed out earlier in the thread:
God does not go back on covenants.
We accepted God and he saved us. He isn't going to take that away again. He'll be disappointed if we continue sinning, but that won't remove us from God's book.

And my point was that Han Solo did have midichlorians so he could use Luke Skywalker's light saber!
Nuh uh! There are no such things as midichlorians, anyone can use a light saber!

There is one Elder, He who created the everything... he just has a lot of different Names.

He doesn't take anything away. We're the ones
rejecting
him when we sin. God is outside of time, it's not like his flipping a switch up and down watching us as we sin and repent. His arms are eternally wide open. If you embrace him he'll embrace you back, but if you then run away, he will not impede your free will. God is giving us salvation all the time, even when we're in sin, yes. But it's a gift. He does not force you to keep it.

Lies! Midichrolorians are a lie merely to appeal to more hardcore sci-fi fans! The force is something that anyone can master if they dedicate themselves to it.
NO! Midichrolorians obviously exist, otherwise you'd see WAY more Jedis if anyone could just master the force. I mean come on, who wouldn't want to use the force?
