"Well, that's an interesting title." Tae'sash said, releasing her hand and standing back up, Aya hissing a little as he did so. "And how did you receive that one?" He asked, tilting his head and Karal looked over interestedly as well.

"Hmmm... A priest you are? the Holy Light I'm guessing, yes?"

"Us? Odd?" Tae'sash asked, grinning at her as he looked at his friend. "We are strange yes, but hardly odd." Karal agreed, his smile vanishing as the undead spoke to him. "Yes Sir Forsaken, I am a member of the Church of the Holy Light." He said quietly, indicating the medallion on his chest.
Tae'sash sighed to himself, but kept his smile on his face. "I will agree with the astonishing thing, I am pretty great if you don't mind me saying." The elf said and Aya laughed to herself.
And believe me, he won't mind saying it, and often.
She hissed and he mimed a blow on the nose at his snake.

"Bah, I'm a walking corpse. They have nothing on me."
He looked back at the Priest
"I was too a priest of the light. However, when it forsook me, I forsook it. It preaches compassion as a virtue, yet it has no compassion to those befallen of woe. It seems a bit contradictory, no?"

"Perhaps Sir Forsaken, however, the Three Virtues are there for all to follow. They cannot turn their back on one, that one would have to do so himself." Karal answered quietly, his eyes looking at the floor. Karal was not fond of the walking dead, though he felt no true hatred for anything, merely seeing them as the damned.
"Those glasses." Tae'sash said shaking his head and held out his hand. "Let me see them, please, those are far too ugly for a pretty face such as yours." He said with his grin in place, keeping one eye on Karal just in case.

"I agree. The Shadow preaches all the same. However, when compassion is preached it is merely for the Forsaken. You might regard this as selfish, but to me it seems no different to your light that forsakes us. We both agree on Tenacity and Respect. Our faiths are not so different, mine only is only more blunt. Less vague. It tells you exactly what it stands for, and who it stands for."

Tae'sash made a tsking sound, and shook his head. "All wrong for you my dear, just wrong." He said, and held them in his palms, murmuring a few words as his hands glowed with energy. He carefully shaped them, making them a little smaller without damaging the lenses. When he was finished he was panting a little but held them back to her. "There, these should suit you far better then those old ones." He said, a tired grin on his face.
"That is one way to look at it." Karal said, not quite agreeing with the undead. "However, have you considered you cannot touch the Light due to what's inside of you?" He asked, taking a bite of food from his plate. "It has been spoken of in the Church that perhaps the Plague which gave you unlife, is also responsible for the leaving of the Light."

"I don't see your point. The Shadow runs on the same principals, and it has not forsaken me. They are the same thing, only one is less betraying, more equal. It comes to all. Whatever has caused it, it does not change the fact it has left me. Saying it is okay it left me because of a plague is the equivalent of not being someone's friend because he's a cripple. Does not sound very holy, no? "

"Whoever gave you the idea it is for mortals to know the mind of an Elder being?" Karal asked, continuing to eat his meal. "We merely serve the Light as it requires us to. If you are not happy with that, well... perhaps your faith wasn't as strong as you believed it to be." He said simply.
"Simply beautiful my dear, those are far more suitable for your face." Tae'sash said, and kissed her hand again. "I am glad to be of service to one such as you." He told her bowing as he stood. Aya made gagging sounds and he reached up and lightly tapped her on the snout. "None of that." He said, wagging his finger at her and she chomped lazily at it, but made her hissing laughter again.

"Ah, so it comes out. The final pathetic argument that was fated to happen. You would bend facts to your own faiths advantage. Do you think ignorance holy? If the same Elder beings you thought of so highly turned out to be evil, would you simply change the description of good? Does their mindset make what is good, or is their mindset simply good based on another measure of good? My faith was plenty strong, but once I find that the light does not practice what it preaches, it was shattered.

"Glad to be of help Lady Gaze." Tae'sash said, and leaned over to mock whisper to her. "I know how you feel, I had a horrible pair of glasses when I was younger, that's how I learned magi crafting." He told her quietly, and winked, then stood up again, taking a few bites from his own plate. "And as always, the food here is delicious!" He said, licking his fingers to not miss a drop.
"Your faith is the only thing you can measure against yourself, whether the Elder's are 'good' or 'evil'. Never forget, evil done in the name of good is still evil, while good done in the name of evil can be good as well." Karal told the Forsaken, raising his eyes to stare into the undead's face. "If you think to make me turn from my faith, you are sadly mistaken my poor unfortunate soul. I know full well what I see in the Light, no matter what another thinks." He told him and turned away, walking back towards Tae'sash and the human woman.

Yes, so by your logic abandoning me, and by that your principles, for the sake of a perceived good is evil, and us preaching the same principles for a perceived evil is good. You know "full well" that the Light represents good, but you don't see that it is not practiced. This is called blind faith. I do not wish to turn you, merely to have you question, as any good seeking person would.

"So, what brings you here Lady Gaze?" Tae'sash asked, slipping a few pieces of meat to Aya as he looked around the dining hall.
"That is not what I said Forsaken." Karal said over his shoulder, continuing to walk away. "And I have no answer for you; everyone communes with the Elder's in a different way; the Light answers my call, and I personally have never injured another being in all my time on this planet." He said, and shook his head.
